Joey Porter sits out Friday practice

Porter sat out Friday with a sore knee and watched the team’s linebackers as they prepare for Sunday’s visit from Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

He is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.
The New Orleans Saints did a nice job of pressuring Brady during their rout the Pats on Monday night.
The Dolphins will need Porter, 32, to do the same and slow down the NFL’s AFC’s leading offense.
Porter, who has overcome an injured hamstring and sore knee, didn’t have a tackle in the team’s last meeting - a 24-12 Miami loss.
Also Friday, center Jake Grove (ankle) sat out and is doubtful for Sunday.

Jery Porter needs to be a backup now. Let him come in on key passing plays. Play Anderson or Wake most of the time.

I actually think the way they are bringing Wake along is the right way. The CFL is a entirely different animal, they started by only bringing him in pass situations similar to what he saw in the CFL and have slowly been exposing him to more of the every down game. It is working he is becoming more productive in every game. No need to rush it!

While Porter has taken a step back this year, I do find it funny that people take shots at him as if he were completely useless to this team. He may not be duplicating his career year of last season when he got 17.5 sacks, but as a pass rushing linebacker he is still on pace to eclipse 10+ sacks this season.

Wake has an very quick 1st step and that is even more effective if there is crowd noise and the offensive tackle isn't set.
I hope Porter does not play as he was nearly invisible in the last game vs the Pats
