I understand that we got a great player added to our defensive roster with Joey Porter. I understand that Joey Porter is an outstanding player but I also understand that we don't need a better defense. Our defense is good enough, ranked 4th in the league. The only thing we need is offensive players. I rather us get Jamal Lewis than Joey Porter. Or any good QB or wide receiver. We just don't need more defensive players! Our offense is the problem with our team. So lets get some good players on the offense. Who agrees?
 
USeless, how bout not, he is a good pick up and yes we havent addressed the offensive side of the ball yet but we signed kelly campbell and washington, and maybe donte stallworth
 
You always look to improve every aspect of your team regardless of how good or bad it was the last year. You look to improve every single thing, you don't stop improving one area because it was already good.
 
I definately don't agree. You don't pass up a player like Joey Porter. Never. So you're saying you'd rather sign some trash on offense just to say we got an offensive player? The market on offense wasn't really that good this year. Plus the way you build an offense is through the draft. Our offense hasn't really worked because we've tried to sign all these offensive guys to come in here and do great. It works to sign someone to our defense because our defense already has it's core and has proved to be successful. Our offense is still building up so we should still build on top of that through the draft.
 
USELESS?? Apparently, you didn't see our linebackers blitz last season. Have you ever seen J. Porter's pass rush? If yes, then you know he's not useless.
 
sorry man but even our defense needs a breath of fresh air.... it doesnt matter what we were ranked in defense last year this is gonna bring a new life and attitude to the D and secure a top 5 spot. Now this opens up the oppurtunity to use the 10 picks we have to get the best offensive players we can afford whether it be by trade or in the draft. It was a good overall move even though I think porter talks too much.
 
How you get so many fin dollars?

Now...please tell me were Chicago's offensive weapons last year. T. Jones? Cant hols a candle to Ronnie Brown?

Defense wins championships. Improve on it and we will suceed. Look at what our rivals are stocking up on in FA's. Offense. Now what she we do in response? defense. We will improve the O through the draft. I expect a great year this year. Maybe not a SB ring. but we will hit the playoffs. We have an offensive genius in Cam. Let him do his thang.
 
I agree that we need some help on offense, but to pass on a guy like Joey Porter?? What our defense did last year doesn't really matter, they are getting old and we needed another LB. Our D. finally has a player that is not shy about expressing himself. Outside of Jr. Seau, we haven't had a player like that in a while. Taylor and Thomas are good players, but Porter will make them better.

I don't think anybody agrees. OLB was one of our biggest needs this off season and we filled that with arguably the best one in the game. Useless?? wow
