I have been thinking alot about the fins and there linebackers recently. I came to the belief that, in my opinion, Porter not Taylor is in danger of being gone. The reason for this thought process is that: A.) Porter is a problem on this team. He is a underachiever. B.) of all seasons to absorb a cap hit....this is it. There are no huge free agents to break the bank on and the fins have tons of cap room. In my opinion I think the fins should get rid of porter AND trade Taylor. Taylor is a great player but truth be told he will never win a Super Bowl in Miami, let alone make the playoffs. Miami is rebuilding, and Taylor will be gone before they challenge for a Super Bowl again. With that said, I would keep Taylor over Porter any day.
 
Porter is overrated,and shouldn't have been signed,at least not for $20M guaranteed,thanks Scam Cam....
 
Porter should have NEVER been signed in the first place. He damn sure shouldn't have been given $20 million guranteed. Why on Earth would you give a player that kind of money on the downslope of his career? It makes no sense! I doubt we cut or trade Porter. If that option was available, Parcells would've done it already.
 
joey porter will not be let go, maybe they will try to restructure his contract but he wont be released, he will fit good in this new scheme and will be the old joey porter this year, last year dom capers didnt utilize him the right way, if we install the real 3-4 scheme like the cowboys, pats, and steelers use then joey should fit perfectly in this defense, u have to remember he was coming of minor knee surgery last year he started slow but ended the season on fire, he still had 2 pics and 6 sacks, he is an emotional leader in the lockeroom and he will be a dolpin in 08,,,,or atleast i hope so

Exactly, Joey was never used the way he should be, but was solid, even going against his strengths. I like Joey and his tude!

He was a bad guy in the locker room and I really don't care what the stats say, he was a bust last year. You just cannot keep blaming the system or how bad the team was for everything and everyone under performing. The truth is that he is overpaid and is probably washed up.

1. Did they play alot of cops and robbers in the locker room?

2. Is that just your opinion or is it based on something factual, as you should know, football is a stat based game.

3. The system isn't to blame for everything, but when a player plays out of his natural position due to the system, it is part of the blame.

4. So that explains how he got better as the season progressed? Or has he become washed up since the season ended?
 
Joey Porter has made a living talking smack and sacking quarterbacks over the course of his career. This upcoming season he'll do both and im fine with that.

If he sacks quarterbacks all the live long day, that's great. I just wish he would shut the hell up.
