As the first game is against the Steelers, if Pepp is not ready maybe we wont be so bad off with Joey. Last game of last season Detroit (who sucked) was at Pittsburg. Harringtons stats from that game 17/33 212 yds 3tds 0 INT.
Not a bad line and maybe he is comfortable against the Pitts. defence.

Can't wait! Joey has a very good arm, could tear up the Steelers with the right OL and running game. Could be exciting.

In Saban We Trust!

Don't forget they (Pitt) were resting their starters....

Thats still only about 50% completions

Dont get me wrong I am perfectly comfortable with Joey starting, Ive seen him play and he is a decent guy with a lot of talent that hasnt worked out so far, but I definitly want Daunte playing if he can

We beat Denver last opener! Denver was supposed to crush Miami. We can beat the Steelers this opener. The first 3 games of the year you can catch teams sleeping.

Very true

Like when Houston beat us on opening day a few years back......

I would like to believe that but it is opening night on Nat. Television. Both teams will be fully pumped.

Not sure how many they rested. I thought I remembered that they had to win out the last 1/4 of the season just to get in as the 6th seed??

yeah Pittsburgh didn't exactly head into the playoffs full steam ahead.

pitt never rested their starters. wow.

they weren't in the playoffs going into the final 2 weeks!! they had to win their last 4 games and they did that sooo they got in as the final wild card seed. they didn't have the luxury like the colts to rest their starters and lose games.

thats exactly what i was thinking

I have a bad feeling about that gamee. It`ll be the first for Joe in new system. On the other side, Steelers haven`t changed their team much. I hope I`m wrong. :)

Pittsburgh made it in by the hair of their chinny chin chins. They weren't resting anybody.
