At first I thought Joey BUT lets take a look

First lets start with some important stat comparison between the two

Joey

3 TD
7 INT
58.9% completions
64.1 QB rating

Daunte

2 TD
3 INT
60.4% completions
77.0 QB rating

Now lets look at whats important, the teams scoring average in games they played

When Joey starts we average 17.0 ppg and give up about 24.6

When Daunte starts we average 12 ppg and give up 17.7

So Joey is scoring more points, but when Daunte starts we give up less.....Id say thats because of the turnovers (to be fair they werent all Joeys fault, 2 of them were the receivers)

This isnt meant to get flamed or start anything, I support BOTH QB's Im just trying to spark an INTELLIGENT debate about which QB actually puts/put (since rumor has it Daunte may go on IR) us in a better position to win.

Final stat

When Daunte plays we lose by 5.7 ppg

When Joey plays we lose by about 7.6 ppg

Discuss.

actually 4 ints were off receivers hands

I am not happy with either as our QB, but Daunte fumbles and can't move, hangs onto the ball too long. They both throw too many picks and neither can lead the team to a W in the 4th quarter, so I guess Joey is better at this point because he can move around and gets rid of the ball.

Game-by-game if you look, we won one game with Daunte and had a 2nd game come down to a stoopid 2-pt conversion call. The other two, not really very close.

With Joey, we weren't very close to winning the Pats or Packers games, both won by 10 points. The Jets game came down to a 51 yard game-tying field goal attempt after Joey stupidly threw an inaccurate downfield ball on 3rd & short where we could have just picked up some extra yardage and made the FG a little easier.

I think that says it all for me.

Im not counting the one off Mcmichael as the recievers fault, that was a terrible terrible throw that a college QB can make, so if you counted that lets settle on 3

That doesn't mean they weren't his fault. On three of those 4, Joey threw a clearly inaccurate pass. All were short passes. Ball placement on short passes is very important. When you throw behind a guy on a crossing route or slant, don't be surprised when it gets tipped up and picked off.

Until I see Culpepper behind a better than average OL, it's really hard to judge what he's capable of at this stage in his career. Right now, with what we have, Harrington is better suited to lead us because he makes quicker decisions.....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

To me, the Offense has been better under Joey, its that simple. But I blame a ton on Mularkey also.

And I wanted neither of the QB's on our team.

golden rule...touch to you by your coaches in first grade...if it hits your hands...u have to catch it.....plan and simple...

Yea....and when it hits the body or hands of a receiver....they should be able to catch it. No QB is totally accurate....the receivers adjust all the time to throws....at least receivers, that don't play for the Dolphins..:shakeno:

another important stat is sacks..DC got sacked so often that we were in third and longs a lot with no chance of making first downs. Punt, then the other team has the ball and our D stops them (when it's not important to stop them I mean), at least our D has been playing pretty well. Hence the lower scores when DC was QB but does that mean we were in a better position to win? I don't think so
Of Joey's 7 INTs I think at least four can be blamed on the receivers or were just flukey. I have seen two really awful throws, and I can't remember the last. One thing people have to remember is that this is the NFL and not a sand-lot pick-up game: balls thrown behind the receiver are sometimes thrown there for a reason (so that the receiver is the only one who has a shot at it, not the DBs who are covering him), these guys are supposedly skilled pros who SHOULD be able to make those catches, or at least bat them DOWN, not UP, to the other team

You think the Pittsburgh game wasn't really very close? Miami had the lead and the ball in the fourth quarter. Then they were down four with a chance to drive for the win, but Culpepper threw a pick. Pittsburgh missed a field goal, and Miami had yet another chance to drive for the win before Culpepper threw the back-breaking pick-6. I know it didn't come down to the last play, but Miami had plenty of good chances to win that game, or at least put themselves in a position to win the game.

I think that says it all for me.

Didn't the DEFENSE give up a long touchdown to the Packers....didn't their running back have a long run....take away that score...it was a close game.

4th quarter...before the defense gave up that long TD....the score was 20-16...I don't believe being 4 points down is excessive.
