Joey has come in every week and shown improvement. If he keeps doing this till the end of the season, does he stay the starter. My opinion with Harrington is that he is like a Rookie out there, I also think if he shows more improvement this year, then Culpepper should not start next year. Yesterday Harrington threw some beautiful passes. He also showed patience in the pocket and threw ball out of bounds when their was nothing there, the only bad throw was the INT to Chambers and I think Chris should have played that ball better. I remember seeing Harrington play in Detroit and the Joey we got is something completely different. My opinion Joey continues to improve, and he starts next year.

Nobody can answer that question aside from Saban. I would assume if Harrington continues to improve and play like he did yesterday that Daunte is done and Saban would likely try to trade him without letting him get back on the field again in an attempt to prevent a repeat of this seasons performance because that would essentially kill any trade value, if there is any left.

I think it's safe to say the job is quickly becoming Harrington's to lose though, a few more performances like yesterday's game would most likely seal the deal.

i agree with both of u, i think we should stick with Joey Harrington
and get rid of Culpepper as soon as possible

The remainder of this season may just be an audition for Harrington as Miami's starting QB next season if Culpepper doesn't recover. Otherwise he would most likely be traded as his salary would be high for a backup Qb, in which case he is auditioning for another starting job somewhere else.

With out a doubt my friend. With out a single doubt. I mean, it's only right to give Pepper a chance to compete for the starting job but Pepper would have to steal the thing away with a PHENOMENAL, PHENOMENAL offseason.

Scarrington is improving himself right into a great trade for hopefully a first rounder. If not, we could use his value to bolster the secondary.

Yeah, let's let another QB on a win streak get away. This way we could always be competitive in November and December praying for wild card spots. I like the way you think.

I have to keep bashing Scarrington to keep the winning streak alive.

He will end up 20TD 14INT
2,696 yards.
But he won't start next year cause of culpepper.
But Joey will be our future

Depending on his performance for the rest of the year, and Daunte's recovery and offseason, I wouldn't be opposed to Joey starting next year. But that is a long ways off and a lot can happen between now and September.

Your logic sucks. Luckily Joey Harrington ignores synical people like you. Get over CPs bad play and delayed recovery. We're winning and convincingly. Let's not mess a good thing up.

how can you not like this kid? after all he has been through to keep up his head like he does? He is all heart man.

I agree, Joey is approving week after week. I live close to detroit, so I saw alot of joey in his 4 years there... Never did i blame him for their downfall. He was in the wrong system. Thats where I think alot of his improvement comes from this season... He's in an offensive system that suits his style, as a drop back pocket passer... and as an added bonus he has the ability to move around if the pocket does collapse, and still throw an accurate pass(like the one to booker on thursday). His continuous improvement is clearly coming from him finally getting some stability in a system, being in a new environment, getting plenty of time to throw and make decisions(the o-line was awesome thursday). If this all keeps up, he's going to continue to improve... and as some are saying... make a case for himself to be a starter again somewhere... I wouldnt mind it being here... but we'd have to re-evaluate daunte again too...

So because a guy comes in a plays decent for a couple of games and has one good game, he should start over the guy we spent a second round draft pick on. Also a guy who is scheduled to make a ton of money which is probably not easy to get rid of even if you wanted. We are supposed to dismiss the guy who played as well as the 'rookie' as you called him aside from one game. And this all happened while the 'non-rookie' was hurt and still rehabbing from a bad knee injury. Well, if it happens, I hope we don't continue to be the 26th ranked offense in the league. I hope we at least hold an open competition in camp.
