Anyone think Miami might make a push for either John Abraham or Willie McGinest? Thoughts?

no to willie and john will cost to much.. even though i would love john

Bigger needs to spend those dollars on - namely QB and OL.

Naw. I'd rather we grab one of the million and a half first day DE/OLB prospects.

I would love Willie on the OLB spot personally. I think he would be a great fit there.

Abraham is franchised so we aint touching that

Willie isn't a free agent and last I knew he hasn't been cut. He has a rather large salary hit this season but has restructured twice before in the past and he has been firm that he wants to retire a patriot so I think he'll resturcture once more to make his salary more cap friendly while allowinjg him to retire in NE like he wants to. As far as Abraham the rumor is the jets after taging him are looking to trade him so expect that they will want a 1st round pick as comp.

Exactly. Plus more than half of them will be able to stay on the field.

abraham is gonna cost miami at leatsa 1st rd pick and saban aint dumb enough to do that

Those would ne nice additions, but we're pretty tight in those positions already. If we're going to get big name players through FA, it should be for a QB like Brees or an OL like Hutchinson from Seattle or even Mawae from the Jets.

would b nice 2 see them in a fins uniform but would never happen

Doesn't seem far fetched now that Miami is one of the 6 teams interested in Willie McGinest....

Abraham is not a great fit in Saban's D. That is one of the reasons that the Jests let him go...He'll pick up with a team that runs a true 4-3 and be a great DE for them...Mangini is looking to change the Jests D, albeit the limited personnel he has for that D...it'll be a transition that'll take a couple of years tho...Abraham, besides his contract issues, was just the first...

Willie would be the right kind of player. He could play line and LB right? Abraham is awesome, but you are right, he'd cost big $ that we need elsewhere.
