and Pat White has replaced both. WR was not a huge need, but some people thought it was, and Pat White was the best WR on the board when we picked. Plus he will be a monster in the wildcat and he will be solid competion for henne down the road. It's all about versitility. He was impressive passing at the combine, even better than Sanchez. Also I'm a Rutgers fan and he raped us on many occasions. This was a solid pick, plus we greatly improved our weak secondary. I'm very happy with this draft.

dlockz will be in here any second

Hey if Im the only one that cant stand the pick fine. It wont be the first time the board disagreed with me. Doesnt make me wrong. I hope I am wrong but I am purely disgusted by this pick. Reminds me of past picks and why I rarely watch a dolphins draft. If I were a cowboy fan I would have felt the same when they drafted the great Isiah Stanback. These qb experiments have a very low percentage of working. Randel El and Kordell Stewart are two of the few success stories. Hines Ward is not in this category since he played other positions in college.Braylon edwards for our second sounds much better now.

How is a guy that has never played Wr the best prospect at WR at our pick.

I guess he replaced Gynn and Bess too, with his awesome return skills that he has never showcased. Must be his blinding 4.55 speed or his massive 6ft 197 pound frame. I wonder if he can coach and replace Sparano, I know he has never done it before, but with all the other assumptions, what the hay?

John Beck is only useless in the eyes of shortsighted individuals. He has talent and can play at this level IMO either as a future starter or solid backup. He has a quick release, is smart and accurate. I think he could legitimately compete for a starting job in San Fran, KC, Minnesota or Washington.
As I've stated before this FO should just cut him outright and give him a fair chance to prove himself after the way he was mishandled his rookie yr.
My guess is that the Pats pick him up if the Phins cut him and he will fill in for Brady at some point and pick us apart like Cassel did in game 2.

I agree with everything to a certain extent. San Fran and maybe Washington are spots where I think he could do really well, not sure about the other places - they seem to have picked their guys.

But the front office now is different than the one that brought him in - I don't think this one is that...what's the word...generous/willing to just give him up for nothing, even if he might not be in the future plans.

I believe as you do that he Beck will just pick the Phins apart. I watched a bunch of his clips and his accuracy is just amazing, short and deep balls. Once he gets past that center to qb exchange, he's gonna be real fun to watch. I really really hate losing him but i want him to go somewhere he can play.

Picked up higher than Henne - and probably ending up being paid more, outperforming Stafford and Sanchez at the combine, and being touted by none other than Mike Mayock as having legitimate "It factor" QB potential,
..... and at what he cost us, especially considering the alternatives like Boldin,, in some spirited competition, White damm well better, at the least, threaten to make Henne "useless" too.

I stopped listening to the draft when we picked White. I seriously was about to start throwing things. I hope it turns out well, but, when I woke up this morning, I still wanted to throw things. I'm very disappointed in the FO over that pick.

I like the corner pics, but the Pat White pic blows my mind a bit. Seems like we are trying to get a little to cute and gimmicky.

Telling us that Beck and Wilford are useless is nothing new to us all. We already knew that

How much better would this draft look with Barwin instead of White?

How the heck do you pass on a faster, stronger and bigger Zach Thomas for a small, quick tweener player who's gonna suddenly find how much faster the NFL is than college?

Put Barwin and White in a footrace and suddenly you see the difference between the NFL game and the college game.

Way too cute: and that's borderline stupid.
