John Beck clip on nfl.com for Total Access

Just a heads up. The segment on NFl Networks total access with Kevin Kolb and John Beck is now on nfl.com as a video clip to watch. Just go to nfl.com and you should see the clip on the right where the NFl network video features are.
 
He is such a dork! I love it! We need a dorky QB... not one that is all Hollywood... in a city with South Beach. Bad combination...


I really like the kid... I just hope he doesnt have to endure comparisons to Marino (even though I know he will). It just wouldnt be fair to put those kind of expectations on him...

well i dunno about dork....... but not everyone can be as cool as mike vick. :D
 
I like him; I think he is very composed and confident. Is it true most call Marino, "Danny"?
 
I bet John Beck is sitting at home in Utah today watching himself on NFL Network just saying wow, somebody pinch me and tell me all this is real. I know I would. His favorite cable channel is the NFL Network and he watches it all the time like a stock investor watches CNBC. Now, he's watching himself on NFL Network. :chuckle:

Beck isn't too much of a Hollywood kind of guy. He sounds more like a Brett Favre kind of guy according to this Sun Sentinel article.

He likes to hunt and fish and do outdoor stuff. I'm sure there's a few guys on the team that like to do that. Channing Crowder does I heard. There's plenty of places in Florida and around the Southeast to do outdoorsman stuff. Plenty of alligators and other exotic animals he could check out if he wants to. He might even run into Larry Csonka sometime at a Dolphins function. Now that's a guy who's into hunting and fishing. He has his own show on the Versus channel. He could certainly give John a few pointers on some things.

There's plenty of stuff to do in Florida in his offtime when he's not working hard to become the next Marino. Actually, I think he needs to avoid overdoing it as far as the training and all that. He should try to make it fun and keep things in perspective in order to avoid burnout and all that.
 
He doesn't look 26. I remember on the MD site, he said he didn't start shaving until 20. I'm starting to wonder... is he more younger physically than he is chronologically?

I wasn't alive but I remember another dorky QB we had...his name was Bob Griese. From what he did, I would be all for it if Beck did the same :D
