Strengths:
Is very accurate...Arm strength is adequate...Great touch and timing...Very smart and mature...Has a quick release...Gamer who steps up under pressure...Moves well and can hurt a defense with his feet...Tough and competitive...A leader with top-notch intangibles...Was extremely productive...Had a terrific senior campaign.
Weaknesses:
Shorter than you would prefer...A bit older than the average prospect...Statistics were inflated by the Cougars wide-open attack...Will have to adjust to a pro style offense...Doesn't see the field well...Has too many passes knocked down...There are questions about his delivery...Struggles going downfield...Durability...Upside?

Served a Church mission in Lisbon, Portugal from 2000-2002...His father, Wendell, participated in track & field at BYU...Married with a young child...Excellent college player who is not the pro prospect his press clippings lead you to believe...Has a chance to play in the pros but he profiles as a backup or #3 signal caller at best.

Maybe this isn't so terrible
Seems that Cam has put a priority on clearing cap space. Certainly from a cap perspective, Ginn/Beck is far more affordable than Quinn/Jarrett.
I guess if the Phins are really convinced that there is not much difference between Quinn and Beck it makes a lot more sense to grab the guy who's going to be $20 million cheaper.

heres Beck's numbers. They are impressive. I think I read that he had the second highest QB rating in the country in '06. I'm very happy about this pick. Doesn't matter that his names not Brady Quinn, or that he wasn't picked in the first round.

If you think beck is going to be eaten alive, quinn has no accuracy.. he's going to get ROASTED in the NFL.

I swear alot of you have the Biggest MAn Crushes on Quinn. If Quinn was the savior why did so many teams pass on him. Cle would have had him in the 2nd if they had not traded up, they wasted their 1st pick next year and a second this year. I have to give them credit for a great PR move.
Its actually a solid pick for MIami because his maturity may allow him to step in earlier and be a factor. Quinn fell right into Cam and Randy's lap . . . and they passed . . . Miami wants to win now, and w/ this defense . . . they just needed to tweak the offense.

Beck who has the ability to come in earlier than other prospects and be a factor.
Hell we just need to focus on the LIne now . . . and this draft was a success IMO.
