Beck is better than he has looked in his previous games and I know that he can get the job done. He needs to develop the long ball but he is very good at leading receivers on many other routs. I hope the Tuna gives Beck a chance because; beck is the real deal. I know he has had a slow start but he really can play the position. Go Fins in 2008 and thanks to FinHeaven for the site again.:D:snoopy:

There is nothing that sold me about Beck this year....then again I dont think the playcalling was very helpful in him succeeding when he did get his chance. Other teams knew that when Beck was in they had to stop the running game and they shut down the running game until we were so far behind they knew we had to pass the ball so they just blitzed Beck all the time. I would like to see what they can do with him this year though, might as well because this is going to be a rebuilding year anyway so lets see what we got.

I hope they give him a fair chance this year. I don't think we got too see what he can do last year because of a variety of reasons. It would be nice to have a qb we drafted start for us for 10 years +

I really want to see Beck on the move this year, he is fast and has a big arm, I would like to see his strengths played too if he manages to play.

its hard for rookie to get the long ball down, or any other ball down, when he is getting blindisided on 3 step drops...which if some of you may remember happened on a regualer occasion while he was in

Beck was never ahead on down and distance. He had no running game to draw upon and with 2nd and 8 or 9 everytime the defense came after him and the pasblocking couldn't measure up. On top of that he really didn't have recievers that could help him out. He played in some outright deplorable conditions and I think he has to be judged on what he does from now on. We pretty much have to toss out last season. I still think he can be very good but he has to have alot of talent surrounding him. Just like any other QB.

i agree, starting him AT philly and then AT Pitt in the winter was a great move by cam when he should have started him AT home after a bye against Buffalo..ha!

I dont know if he is right for this team but he deserves his fair chance.

Being at the game in Philly I saw very positive things out of beck. His poise in the huddle, his pocket presence. It was unbelievable. He lead Miami down to the one yard line and if it wasn't for ****ty play calling we would've scored. He put us in position to win that game but it just didn't work out.

i know it was garbage time, but when cleo got hurt and beck came in against the bengals he ran for a score and threw for a score and basically looked like i hoped he'd look from the start. my gut feeling is that the kid can play.

a little pass blocking, a little ronnie brown, a starting caliber tight end, a second year teddy ginn, a second year lo book, all of a sudden we might have something. keeping my fingers crossed for him (and us).

Cam needed to start him after the bye but didnt. It would have givin him a taste of the NFL at home against the jills. We all know that we shoud have won that game. But to start at Philly,Pitt for your first taste that is crazy. He actually did pretty good considering the situation we were in and the lack of talent around him.Not to mention the lack of good plays called. He shouldve started the rest of the year but Cam had to pull him for Lemon.Who wants a QB named Lemon.Beck should get a fair shot this year and we should have more talent to work with in 2008.Lets go and kick some ***.

GO DOLPHINS 2008................#1 BABY:up:

Thank you. Yes, he had butterfingers a couple of times without being touched. Granted. The rest of the time he was on the wrong side of an OL collapse that, when JT lead the same thing against the Pats in the past, made Brady look bad, too.

I haven't seen a Miami QB hit a WR in stride like Beck did in many years, which may not be saying much, but it is progress. He has a good arm. As has been said before, the Miami coaching staff had no intention of playing him this year, and his play reflected that.

I saw enough from him that want him to get legitimate preparation to be our starter this offseason, and if he can't cut it we go with Plan B. Don't ask me about Plan B yet, I haven't figured that part out yet.

Beck really needs to work fast and improve if he wants to be the Dolphins franchise signal-caller soon. Father time will catch up to him if he can't get with it. Some of the guys his age are already starting and beginning to hit their stride. Eli Manning's the same age and he's already helped his team to the NFC Championship with four years under his belt. And this is not even including whether Parcells and Sparano will want to keep him or bring in their own project.

I saw what I needed to see in beck in that last game for my own peace, dude has a wicked arm, such a beautiful delivery, and he's tough, imagine going out there in your rookie year and throwing to a rookie wide receiver, derek hagan, a bad tight end in martin, and a third string running back that we plucked off the street in Gado.

What i think was a good sign is how john beck struggled. He let the pass rush get to him to much because he was going thru his reads back there with no fear. lost a few fumbles lots a sacks but think about it, i would rather have my rookie dropping back taking too much time going thru his reads then having HAPPY FEET.

IMO, i saw something special in his game.

yeah, he had to go up against too many good defenses. eagles hit hard. steelers were #1. RAVENS!!!??? a rook QB would never be able to stand against them, unless it was a rookie Marino :)
