Not sure if it can go in this forum or not, if not my bad mods. Looks like beck has got the upper hand in Wash, I personally congratulate him and wish him well. I also realize it's just preseason he may do nothing when it truly matters just shows it may be worth it too be patient and not sacrafice every qb that doesnt produce immediately.

last week grossman shined but it was a great preseason performance . Still think when the real bullets get fired he wont be good but hats off to him this week

I agree, wish he would have showed the same potential while he was here, but I can't honestly think of even a preseason game he looked good. All I remember are lots and lots of fumbles...and running for his life.

Beck looked great just like i thought when giving a fair chance, 14- 17 140 yards 101 QB RATING . AGAINST THE 1 ST TEAM COLTS DEFENSE, ON THE ROAD.

i never liked beck hated the pick based on where we drafted him but I dont understand why we cut him, he was good enough to be a third string qb. Sad thing is he got cut for pat white.. You cant fault us for that cause even a good team basically cut him in baltimore

Fair play to him. Colts dont exactly have a great defense, but he was able to exploit it.

I hope he has a subpar, but not horrible, season. That way the Redskins are stuck with him and miss out on Luck and Barkley...

The ground game shined more than Beck did. The Redskins rushed for 162 yards in the first 2 quarters while John Beck was in.... he still failed to throw a touchdown pass.

I watched a little bit of him and what I saw wasn't impressive. He was still taking sacks in the redzone and stalling out drives.

To his credit, he didn't fumble and not a single backwards pass resulted in a Colts touchdown. Call it progress.

Actually he always looked pretty decent in preseason. He never really had a chance to show much of anything IMO as he had the worst surrounding talent in the league when Cam thrust him into the starting lineup for a few games during that lost season several yrs back.
Parcells never really gave him a chance to develop and they treated him as an afterthought during that regimes 1st TC. They had CP and their favored child (Henne) with no need for Beck so they showed him the door.
My feeling was that Beck at least deserved a chance to develop and compete with Henne. I think he would have actually played better than Henne last season.
Its amazing to me how some of the criticism of Beck (on older threads) got so personal. I think some of it had to do with anti-mormon bigotry.

Can't even give the guy the credit he deserves so you come up with some back-handed compliment. I'd say a QB rating of >100 is pretty impressive.

Yeah, not having a decent O-Line or good talent around you will cause some of those types of things. Right? He actually did have one game where he did a decent job and almost earned a a victory. Against the Bengals I think? Other than that, he really didn't have many chances to improve with the Phins. I honestly thought that he deserved at least one more year with us. Of course, that didn't happen....
