Wow after watching this i understand why they passed quinn i wouldnt wanna pay millions more to get a qb that doesnt compare to beck. i know quinn was the popular choice but its just the style and awareness beck has that i know he can be the franchise qb. dont doubt his arm either he can launch it over 75 yards and completed over 70% of his passes at byu. im just glad we have this guy and not another selfvish guy like duante.
 
I said it before and I'll say it again. I'm pumped for the coming season. Beck has got so much awareness in the pocket its scary.

Everytime I see that pass at the end of this Video, I am just flat out amazed at Beck's arm strength....that is not just impressive, it's EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE.

The pass was inside the 20, he is running for his life, and nobody is open, he is running towards the opposite sideline, and while still in motion, is still able to fall back and throw a pass across the field with enough velocity, and strength to fall perfectly at the corner of the endzone for the TD.

For all those that keep saying Beck has no arm strength, I ask 1 simple thing... try making that throw, and see if Beck has no arm strength.

Beck did not have his feet planted, was falling backwards, and made what was probably a 30-35 yard accurate pass on nothing but arm strength... that was all pure arm strength, nothing else helped John make that throw...Just an amazing throw.
 
Oh, and by the way, if you look at that final clip, you will all see all the good things about him, all traits that great QBs have, he is directing Traffic (Leadership), never does he panic (Ice in his veins), refuses to throw until he sees the play he wants (refuses to quit).

Yeah he's got a great arm. You can always tell the guys who have really good arms because they just seem to flick it, sort of effortlessly and the ball flies out at good velocity. The other thing I like about this guy is he looks like he has lots of guts. I've seen a bunch of film on this guy where he just hangs in the pocket till the last possible second, makes the throw, and then just gets totally drilled. He's got moxy, that's fo sho...
 
I honestly thought it was common knowledge the knocks on Beck's arm strength were unfounded.
