Does anyone have new news on John Beck? Last I heard was that he was working extensively with Donald Lee. He said that he has gotten more tuteledge under this regime than Cameron. That really explains why he was so uneffective and held back by Cameron last year. I am keeping my fingers crossed because that could be the reason he was so terrible last year. He has also put on weight to make him more durable. I think that Beck will be fine and prove he was worth the second round pick. Please update me if anyone has any new news? J Long #1 and then a CB on the 32nd pick we will field a competitive team next year mark my words we are not far away. GO DOLPHINS!!!!!

just read 99% of the threads and posts on this board to answer your question. and if a certain thread doesn't seem to be about QB's, don't worry, it is.

other than he's working his *** off. He gained some weight and has thrown over 3,500 passes this off season. All we need to know is that the guy is working.... and he's working hard. He needed to put some meat on those skinny little arms.

for all those who don't think Beck will do anything for us or even amount to anything,i think John Beck will surprise those very people and do good for us,but i'm just basing this on a gut feeling.

I think you mean, David Lee. It's all good though. Know this, John Beck has been working his tail off this offseason! He's putting in the time with his new quarterback coach, he's made some corrections in his throwing motion, he's been studying the new offense like a man possessed, and more importantly he's put on some much needed muscle. I believe he's added about 16 lbs to his frame already this offseason. A bigger, stronger, faster, and smarter John Beck!

Big homer of John Beck here! You just cant help but want this guy to succeed. time, and patients... This guy mark my words, is the real deal!

I got a big laugh out your demonstrated wit in this post! Made my day, Bob. :woot:

I have no doubt that John is working his tail off. Anyone who knows him, and I followed him all thru college and got to meet him, knows he overcame incredible adversity while at BYU to become the 2nd overall QB in BYU history. That says a lot when you're in the company of Steve Young, Ty Detmer, Jim McMahon, Gifford Nielson, and Mark Wilson.

Given the shot, Beck will surprise many people. He's a workaholic when it comes to football. There should be no doubt about his ethics, and sense of teamwork.

He'll do just fine. Time will confirm this.
