First off, I am not bashing John Beck, but does anyone notice though he is considered "accurate" he does not have a nice tight spiral on his ball. Watch some of his throws last year, the boot td to Hagan comes to mind. The guy also seems small out there. I don't know if it's just me but since we have been looking for a franchise QB this long, I just want to see this 6'5 big armed guy back there. My Opinion - Draft Matt Ryan or Joe (sick scary arm) Flacco.

Second off, there is a receiver wanting out of Detroit. I feel he is a top 5 wide receiver that can catch anything and everything. I consider him more valuable then Chad Johnson / Terrell Owens / Randy Moss. The only receiver that impresses me more is Braylon Edwards, we could have had him. We need this guy. I wish we could unload some players but we have no tradeable players besides JT. Roy Williams is a franchise player and is really young. We need to get him.

Antwan Odom and Kyle Van Don Bosch are two players that are second tier free agents. I believe either one can do nicely here. If we got a few young second tier players ( IE Odom VS Briggs) we would be better off then going after the high priced players. Just because we have salary cap room now doesnt mean Asante and Briggs contracts' won't hurt us in the long run. Look at Joey Porter, look at his cap number. Wahle, Starks, Lilja are also possible players we don't have to break the bank for.

I say the Chargers 2nd round and Channing Crowder for Roy Williams.

Channing is a good player who has a lot of potential, people might think I am crazy. First off, his arrest/ticket didn't help him at all. Second is that he is a Free Agent after the season and I can't see the Dolphins giving him big money. He has had knee problems in college and transfered them to the pro's

I am ready to see the new era begin, maybe my comments are too out there, but thats my opinio.

id love to have roy williams but channing crowder is one of the few young guys we have that is worth keeping so i wouldnt give up a 2nd a him for roy

Hmmm,

Well, Beck's spiral is tighter than Peyton Manning's...and I'd sure take Peyton Manning anytime haha

And, honestly I kind of agree with the Roy Williams idea. I'd prefer somehow trading a bunch of our players there for him, rather than losing that number 2. I'd love to get him, it'd be great. If we did trade for that 2nd, it'd be like trading Chambers for Roy Williams, so we couldn't complain too much.

But, let's try to keep the picks at all costs...

I think I'm one of the few who would trade away Crowder too. I just don't see anything too great out of him. Seems like he quits on plays too. But, I don't know...

Beat me to it. First thing I thought was, "Peyton's spirals suck" and I hear he is purdy good!

Roy Williams is a great WR and I would be very happy to have him as the #1 and Ginn as #2 and Hagan at #3.:D

I've seen a few interviews/shows with Roy Williams. He seems like a good guy. He loves football and wants to move back home to coach his old high school team when he gets older (the team that was in Friday Night Lights I think). I guess he also doesn't go out to clubs or drink or get in any trouble either. He goes bowling and plays instruments instead.

Add on that he is a monster WR. He's the perfect Parcells player. Get him!!!

if i hear...lets get matt ryan because he has prototypical nfl size one more time...im going to scream...matt ryan will be just like every other quaterback to come from BC, average at best...and not nearly worth that kind of money

I do not think we should spend a lot of money on receivers. Justin Gage and DJ Hacket are top 40 receivers that will not cost too much money.

Matt Millen has even said(sorry no link) that he'd like veteran players in return if there's going to be any trade of S.Rodgers/R.Williams .If that's the case I'd offer up C.Crowder & M.Roth & T.Daniels & D.Hagen for R.Williams and a 4th. With FA's lots of people want "2nd tier" signings which I agree with except when it comes to signing stud YOUNG players in their prime years, these are the guys you want your own drafted players to turn to be so why not pay for someone else's. A.Haynesworth is one that comes to mind along with J.Gross(RT Carolina) and K.Hamlin, these guys would improve our team a great deal and allow us to draft specific players. My "2nd tier" FA list includes the following I.Sopoaga (NT), J.Bell (OG), C.Pace (OLB), B.Johnson (WR), A.Odom (DE), R.Grossman (QB), these are the guys I hope we attack during the FA period. With these guys we could draft 1.J.Long/2.D.Conner or C.Lofton/2b.R.Bryant/3.J.Nelson/4.J.Carlson or B.Cottam/6.C.Campbell(ss)/7.flip a coin
I'd also trade JT for pick(s) to further the rebuilding effort.

I agree, but you will have to have a product that the fans are going to come to see, the dolphins need a big time Wr to teach ginn and hagans.

The fins should can Hagans, and choose a receiver in the draft, Mario Mannigham pretty good.(Michigan)

Im also very high on Roy Williams, I feel he would be a much better pick up than CJ, Im not sure what the Lions want exactly, but hopefully we can land him, then all of a sudden we an upper teir WR core IMO.

Roy Williams would be a great pickup for us. You're not looking at much of a drop off between him and CJ at all, and you get 80% less attitude, not that I think CJ has a bad attitude, but Roy Williams is less of a mouthpiece. I've listened to many local Roy Williams interviews in Detroit and the guy is a class act all the way. With a good QB he could be great in Miami.

That being said, anyone who thinks Detroit will give him up for any combination of players on our team i.e. (Crowder, Roth, Daniels, Hagan, etc) is out of their mind. Detroit will want multiple draft picks, with at least one of them being in the first two rounds.
