John Clayton on Garrard at 8:10

Unless I hear this from a legitamate Dolphin source this is pure media speculation with no foundation in truth.

garrard would have been a good idea about 5 weeks ago. Now is just rediculous. Besides, i think Moore could be better than garrard.

Garrard behind this swiss cheese o-line is not a bad idea.

I do not like the timing ultimately in the end.

Don't think it's worth checking out. Not sure how quickly he would pick up the offense, it's not an easy one. I don't like Henne, but at least he's more prepared and is ready.

Well the last time we signed a QB right before the season we went 11-5 and won the division.......half of me wants to live and die with Henne and the other half wants to see what Garrard can do with weapons.......

we only have two QB's on the roster, right? we need another QB, so why not Garrard?

ya know, the media has gotten our QB situation wrong all offseason.
He has a point.

Unless I hear this from a legitamate Dolphin source this is pure media speculation with no foundation in truth.
Clayton has been been non-stop speculating that we would pick up a QB, as for his accuracy, see quote #1.

Even if Gerrard were better he'd just be another journeyman middle-of-the-road QB that keeps the team hovering around .500.

This is Henne's year to sink or swim, throwing Gerrard into the mix isn't going to do the team any good, short or long term.

I think we have to ride or die with Henne at this point. He seems to have taken command of the huddle and has done a nice job learning the offense. Garrard coming in now will only **** up the chemistry they're building, and it'll take him a month probably to be fully up to speed on the offense. If Garrard had been available in July though, this would be a totally different conversation.

it wouldn't hurt to have garrard around just in case henne well pulls a henne...

IMO having him around would make it more likely that Henne wouldn't succeed. Garrard isn't as good as he was and he had a lot more to work with the Henne ever did, both his system/coordinator and his receivers and running game in most of his career.

Bad timing...Henne all the way at this point. If he had looked awful in preseason, we make the move....but there is reason for a little hope instead after preseason and camp. Let's roll.

After every fan scorched Henne for the past 3 years, NOW...after he plays in three preseason games...is the time to be a loyal.

Dolphins fans are a bizarre breed.

I am hoping the best for Henne, but I'd be stupid to be completely content with Moore waiting in the wings and no 3rd QB. Injuries happen, inconsistency happens...there needs to be a better plan for that position.
