Clayton just said on the 5 P.M. show that David Cornwell, Ricky's attorney in his appeal, wrote the book on the drug laws.

He said Cornwell and his camp are confident Ricky will win the appeal and play in 2006.

Thanks for the news DD.

I really hope Ricky wins so we can have that two-headed monster again this year.

is that "the book" on the drug laws or on the league's drug rules? just curious, because it seems like it wasn't a drug he was taking, but what if the league decides that doesn't matter?

Don't know, but I would guess the latter.

I just spat back out what Clayton said on SportsCenter.

thanks, man! i figured you did. i'm just really hoping for a good result here...

Sounds like we have "the best" in the business representing Ricky.

Props to Saban & the Fins organization for (again) getting the best available help for players....

The more positive press Ricky Williams is getting over this, the better.

This is partially a PR issue. The NFL needs to make it look like they are hard on drugs. If people in general think RW is guilty, it's going to be more of an issue.

I wish we knew the issue better. Then again we were never meant to know it at all.

Exactly. I'm sure we'll here everything when it's all said and done though.
