Dolphins QB John Beck is available for any compensation amount, according to ESPN's John Clayton.
Clayton says any team "need only make an offer" to get Beck. The Dolphins are still trying to clear any Cam Cameron holdovers off their roster. The Ravens could show some interest in Beck as competition for No. 2 QB Troy Smith.

ESPN's John Clayton confirms that the Patriots and Dolphins appear to be free agent Jason Taylor's "main options" at this time.
Clayton believes Miami's interest will "grow" in the next few weeks. If the Fins sign him, they can look back and say they got a second-round pick for Taylor and saved the $8M he made in 2008, the worst season of Taylor's career.

Taylor would sure need to fix some relationships he has in the locker room for the regime to even consider this

so who does he have a problem with in the locker room? I have heard no bad remarks about him from a current dolphin

Bye Beck, Hello Pat White, This would allow us to have a player actually contribute on Gamedays, and not stand around looking dumfounded holding a CLIPBOARD all year.

Beck for something like a 4th would be amazing...Although todays Beck is a different Beck, having him as a 3rd stringer is not bad, if our team is much improved with Sparano, I bet Beck is a different player today.
Now JT, if he comes back at a discount price, would be great...Its going to be a long, tough, season, and we are not exactly loaded with talent (outside JP) at his position...Worst case, Wake, Merling, Langford, and co. can learn a few tricks from him...Best case, he retires a Dolphin with a real shot at something

No relationships need to be fixed. JT is still a playmaker...and JT's home is south Florida, I hope he finishes his career in with the Dolphins. It is a lousy rainy cold overcast day up in Massachusetts today...as was yesterday and the day before...and I still have some snow on my front lawn fyi.

definately hope u are wrong, White does nothing to make us a better team. We end up drafting a parttime player with a slot that should be a future starter.

So Beck is available for basically nothing, and yet no team is calling?

I would assume that Beck is most likely a draft day trade. Some team will wait to see if they are able to land a QB in the first half of the draft, and if there is not value at QB when they pick, they will probably ship a 6th or 7th round pick to Miami for Beck.

I said Beck was being shopped. It has been obvious since last year when the organization was trying to trade Beck to the Cowboys. As for JT he is good friends with PArcells and the organization will keep him in check.

Look don't exactly expect Pat White, while we have shown interest in White the guy stock has risen and some team could over reach and draft him. The guy nobody is talking about is James Casey TE out of Rice who the Dolphins have held a workout with. The kid was scheduled to be this upcoming season Rice starting QB. He lined up last year at TE,WR, RB, QB and PR. He would come in and replace Haynos, become and emergency QB and could even take snaps at QB in the Wildcat. Remeber James Casey.

Im totally against drafting Pat White because he is not good enough to be a starter at any point in the NFL and to draft him would cost at the very least a third. I dont want to sacrfice drafting a potential starter for a gimmick player. Its like taking a nickel corner in the first or a kick returner high in the first.I would be alright with Casey because I can see him as a future starter at TE.

I wouldn't mind Tom Brandstater in the later rounds...maybe with the late rounder we'd get for Beck. Of course, I'd rather fix the secondary/D-line with one of those picks and sign a UDFA if we get rid of JB.
