Just heard it on ESPNEWS, says they have reopen talks with the Vikings, but will not get into a bidding war for him.

This could make things with Brees taken with a little urgency now.

Yeah, but if the Brees deal falls through, you can bet Saban will get Culpepper.

yeah but what if the Raiders offer the Vikings that 2nd round pick they've been asking for?

:shakeno:

We need Brees to make a decision asap so Saban can go after Culpepper if we don't get Brees.

well they better hurry the **** up. all we need is to lose out on both, after all these rumors, all this hype, all the anticaption, give us a bit of a blackeye

That's if the Raiders don't get to him first. Still, I'm not concerned......yet.

If we don't sign Brees, Then Saban will make sure that we get Culpepper. I really don't think the Raiders will give a high pick for him. They probably think that we are gonna sign Brees and they want to be the only team willing to trade for Culpepper.

Thanks for the update... I have to find me some illegal cable or something cause this being poor situation is making me lose out on my phins.

Is getting confusing, to many different reports, to many different stories, I wish we already sign Brees and go on with the FA.

You know what - I am getting tired of John Clayton (and other "analysts") who are just talking out of their arses. It seems they change their tune every 10 minutes, I'll bet they don't really know anything for sure.

Now if Boomer says something, then I'll believe it. :cooldude:

Maybe by the time I get home from work tomorrow there'll be good news of some sort!

Don't worry. I am pretty confident that we will have one of them by tomorrow night. Brees meets with Mueller tomorrow morning and will probably recieve an offer. If Brees accepts, we will have a QB by probably 1:00 or 2:00 pm. If he rejects it, I bet Saban and Mueller instantly call the Vikings back up and do the Culpepper deal. If that is the case, Pep will probably be a Fin by 6 or 7 pm. Just my opinion.

That's a good point. Clayton has been pumping Culpepper to the Raiders from the get go and everyone else has been saying there hasn't even been any talks between the Vikings and Raiders. It's like Clayton has a hard on for Culpepper going to the Raiders or something.
