John Congemi and Phil Simms Discuss What Dolphins Lack to Finish Games

I don't think they can be developed from what we have right now. There's no one here that has the speed and catch radius of a Calvin Johnson...that's just a physical freak...you can't develop that. We have 4 receivers 6' tall and under and one WR at 6'2" but plays like he's 5'9" (Hartline).

Some things just can't be developed...Our WRs are physically limited, whether by speed or size or both.

Wallace would be a freak if RT could hit him down field. Wallace would easily impact games if this could happen. Landry and Clay are mismatches because they can get open. I'm not ready to call them freaks but they certainly could get there.

By virtually any standard measure, Ryan Tannehill is coming along nicely in his development. My hope is that he will find the best ways to use the horses he's got as he matures and begins to master his game.

That's a two part equation. Wallace is not aggressive in going after the ball and he doesn't go up to catch it at a high point with his hands. Tannehill needs to get better, but Wallace needs to try harder.

Simms made some good points.

That 4 minute drill at the end of the game is just like the red zone. Defense is defending 10 yards like they are backed up at their goal line.

We haven't been efficient in red zone thus we fail in the 4 minute situation also.

Wallace is getting better, though. He's certainly tougher this season, and a more complete receiver. Some of that is him and some of it is the system Lazor is making him fit into.

#1 pick next year: a Jimmy Graham type te !!! For the love of god get us someone that can make plays in the rz!!

All this team needs is an OLINE....there, fixed it for you.

yeah the same **** for 3 years now. this team needs an o line...playmakers...a running game. redzone threat. a seam te blah blah blah blah blah. it needs a qb that makes the players around him better, and one that can throw the ball more than 10 yards accurately. ryan tannehill YPA this year is 29th, ahead of ej manuel, geno smith and derek carr. seriously?

If Tannehill can hit Wallace deep, just occasionally, this offense becomes scary. He can hit Landry and Hartline because they don't have the speed Wallace has. Even when he does hit those receivers deep, they hardly ever score. If he can hit Wallace, then the safeties have to back up. The middle of the field opens up for Landry, Hartline, Clay, Gibson, etc... It also makes our running game more effective.

People who use stats to justify their opinion, don't know how to watch the game to figure out WHY it happens.
