The former Florida guard remembers being 8 years old and dreaming of playing football at the highest level. It wasn’t until high school when Halapio’s path to the NFL began to crystallize. While he was only touted as a three-star recruit, Florida had interest in him and presented an offer early. Halapio was sold and never took a visit elsewhere.

Five years later, the 6-foot-4, 325-pound behemoth is looking for a new place to maul defenders.

“I’ve been hearing fourth or fifth round or later,” Halapio told FOXSports.com “Honestly, to me it doesn’t matter where or when I go, as long as I get an opportunity. If I get picked up by a team, I’ll make the team. I know it because of my work ethic and how I play. I’m very confident in that.”

As the NFL Draft approaches, Halapio has been training with his high school coach Matt Parker in St. Petersburg, Fla. honing in on the details. It takes a lot of work to maintain his size, while keeping his athleticism. Large chunks of the day are spent in the weight room.

Like this a lot and I hope he's a strong consideration. Do like his movement and strength, plays a little high and needs to develop more knee bend, but Im real high on him and think he could still be there in the 4th.

I'd be happy with him on Day 2 or 3. Injury prone lineman scare me.

halapio has been the poster child for the Gators' offensive problems for 4 years running. I'm a Gator and I say don't even bother to UDFA this guy. Having him on this line would be like throwing gasoline on an open fire.

4 years starting at guard and he couldn't block his own shadow. Pass.

Please tell me he wasn't the one blocking his own teammate against georgia southern...That was hilarious.

I just want to reiterate what iwastherein1972 said. I have been a Gator fan for as long as I have been a Dolphin fan (39yrs) and I hated this guy since the first time he hit the field for the gators. His first year he was putrid, the 2nd he was horrible, 3rd he was bad, and the 4th, while he was still not very good and made a little bit of improvement, he was mediocre at best. It baffled me why the former coaching staff and the current one kept putting him out there. Please, for the love of God, do not draft this guy.

Question? I watched Halapio workout next to his team mate Jonatthon Harrison at the combine, and thought that Harrison looked a lot more smooth through all of the lineman drills, and seemed to have better footwork and quickness. Can you provide any insight on Harrison? Mayock said at the combine that he played C and G at Florida, and i know the staff is looking at versatile lineman and he seems to fit that mold.

well at least theres a legit reason for his tape in 2013...torn pec playing thru it shows to his toughness...don't like the tape

If I have 2 players rated even and one is Samoan and the other is not I take the Samoan every time.
