Former Georgia defensive tackle John Jenkins not only has a new home after the New York Giants cut him, but ascended quickly in his new landing spot.

Jenkins, a third round pick of the New Orleans Saints in 2013, finds himself at the top of the Miami Dolphins’ depth chart ahead of week one of the NFL season.

It is unprecedented for a player cut one week ago to be at the top of another team’s depth chart the next week, but it is not at all surprising when you look at how the Miami Dolphins are supposed to fare this season.

It's a good move, because Jenkins is a VERY GOOD run stuffer. Which is very important for any defense on early downs.

They listed Jenkins as a 3-4 DE. Not NT. Godchaux (6'3 310) at the nose. Jenkins is 6'4 346....that's Paul Soliai size. I really don't expect a large % of 3-4 but....

Great pick up seeing that Vincent Taylor was the closest thing to an NT we had before giving him the boot.
