How has he looked so far in Training camp? Does he look like he got his size and strength back from the illness he had last year? I am really hoping we see a major improvement from him this year and he isn't the next Donald Thomas.

John Jerry Jingleheimer Schmit, his name is my.....oh sorry I blacked out there for a sec and broke out in song.....that's what I think of when I hear his name. Now that that's out of the way I'd like to know how he's doing as well. I'm not sure if no news is good news when it comes to players

I don't even know who's on the line right now but it seems like every other play Daniel Thomas is getting blown up by a D-lineman or linebacker and our QBs are getting sacked with regularity.

I know we're missing Long but the O-line as a whole needs a lot of work.

We are looking at any guard who's ever worn a Cowboys uniform to put in the fold, how do you think he's doing?

Jerry came into camp very fat and really out of shape. That's terrible news for a 3rd round pick going into his 2nd season. He looks to be a slacker and it seems like he could care less about his lackluster play last season (you would think he would work hard in the offseason to prove he's better than he showed last season)

That's why Fungus (or whatever his name is) is starting at RG as of now - until we get someone better

We have one starter from last year on the Oline, a rookie and all the rest are either backups or camp material. Cannot do much with only 7 Olineman which inculdes one starter, and a rookie, in camp.

Maybe O Hara at center amd Pouncey to RG. I think several draft guru's projected him there over center.
This Pouncey brother is not starting material at C for the NFL, not even close.

He is a bust and the worst part is he is to fat and lazy to even be camp fodder! Just another cornfed failure!

Based on what? A few bad snaps his first year playing the position at Florida? If the Dolphins decide to move him to guard this year because O'Hara is a very good C (3 pro bowls) so that he can learn the position from a veteran that does not mean he can't start at C. He will take over the position either next year or the year after. If he stays healthy, he will be by far the best Dolphin C since Dwight Stephenson.

Not saying Pouncey is a bust, but I will say, he is not an NFL caliber center. I said the same about Jerry last year BEFORE his illness and people laughed. Right now the Oline is a mess, one starter in there the rest are backups and at this stage in his career, at best, Pouncey is playing like a third string backup. I watched him in college. He, IMO, is not a NFL center. Guard ? probably but certainly not center. The kid stands up like a statue. Did it in college too, hard to break habit.

The OL has improved, but we have to remember that Pouncey has only practiced a few 3 days (and has gotten the better of Solia a couple times), and we've had Rey Feinga (who was a backup guard last year), and Matt Kopa (who was our backup Center I belive last year after Proctor got hurt). Jake and Vernon have not practiced, and then Nate Garner, Lydon Murtha, and Marc Columbo can't practice till Thursday. So really, we haven't had our best OL out there

Sounds like a bust then...

Pouncey got the better of Solai in one, one on one drill. Besides that, Solai and the rest of the defensive line have been throwing him around like a rag doll. There is ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERO nastiness in this Pouncey kid, absolutely ZERO. In short, yeah he is a rookie but he is getting his rear end handed to him on a platter. He is not his brother, not even close to it.
