And that ultimately kept what was a very talented team out of the playoffs (though just a nail in the coffin that Ray Lucas built).

I was doubtful when we signed him but I was hopeful that I would be wrong. The good thing was that he was given a short rope and didn't cost the team much ... it was worth a shot but he took the rope and hung himself. I wish it could have gone different but oh well; the other receivers available bring baggage as well ... those may implode for their teams soon. What happens when Moss goes off on Alex Smith or TO rips Flynn in the media? Seattle signed enough has been receivers to be considered either the Raiders or the cast of the Expendables 2.

Before the games Carter soaked his hands in butter, dipped them in vaseline, put engine grease on his arms, wore extra heavy ankle weights and looked like me trying to take a 20 lb turkey out of the oven with no oven mitts on to protect my hands. But besides that you're right, Carter caught everything thrown his way except the football!
