Jon Gruden on Miami Dolphins Quarterback Chad Henne

A lot of talking heads picked Chad and The Phins to do well last year. We already know how that went. Can't wait for week 1. I could see him saying that just before he takes over and cuts Henne next year.

I wish I had the talents of everybody else at FH. I can't read people's minds or even claim to know why people do what they do exactly....I don't even know more about football than Gruden. jeez =)
I think Gruden is a little more of a shoot straight kinda guy than he is being given credit for and I often enjoy his in game analyses. That said, sure he can play more the part of Paula Abdul on Idol sometimes. Tends to be more positive on guys than degrading them on TV.

Is it just me or does it seem like Gruden's absolutely in love with Chad Henne?

Seems like Gruden is in love with the Dolphins. Whenever we're on MNF lately he's giving us props while the other talking heads are sucking off the other team. Surprised he doesn't want to coach here. Maybe he just doesn't want to coach right now.

"That Chad Henne guy is pretty good. I'm telling you, teams better look out for the Dolphins." - Jon Gruden.

It's always good to hear positive words on the national stage, but Gruden praises everyone so I take what he says with a pinch of salt. Still nice to heat it though.

Can anyone honestly remember Gruden not liking someone when he was on air?

He just wants to be right...he raves about the dolphins all the time, "people better watch out for those guys the dolphins" like he knows something other sports analysts dont. we can never show he's right though.

Its more like the team will have an opening and I wouldnt mind coaching in Miami next yr.....

I can appreciate Gruden's positive comments, or any pro-dolphin commentator. Personally, the negative ones always get on my nerves- spending way to much time negging on my team than they should- namely Dierdorf, Theisman, and Berman.

Berman is a Buffalo Bills fan so he's going to be negative towards the Dolphins.

Chris Berman can suck the Bulldog jelly out of a dozen eclaires sent to him wrapped in Buffalo Bills gift paper with a bow on top made with Theisman's toupee and tied with Dierdorf's lisp.

I mean.....yeah...those guys are meanie poo-poo heads...sorry mods. I defend my Fins even harder when someone says those three names...

Let's hope he's right. Just sayin' though. Gruden loves to be positive.

I actually dont recall anyone saying last year look out for us. In fact, I remember alot of what your hearing now aside from Gruden. I remember parsells saying Henne was not going to make it essentially and the world ran with it.

But any fool can see that the offense has changed and Parsells is gone. Media will not refer to such things until further anyalyzing needed by pinheads who dont see whats on the inside until later.

maybe so, but can you remember anytime that jaws agreed with gruden on anything miami dolphins? I havent. obviously, they trust there eyes in what they see on film. they see a new offense with reggie bush. thats what they see.

Rooting and hoping he's right.. but to put his so-called "expertise" in perspective.. after the first moron @#2 drafted a p/t SEC RB and signed a journeyman QB better known for banging his head into walls, Gruden was the second dolt in need, who, @#5, elected to stand pat with an already well-traveled Brian Griese also passing on top 10 draft-rated Aaron Rodgers. So I take his QB evals with a grain of salt. :idk:

Despite his in-booth confusion and verbal mangling, I would take an endorsement by someone who actually excelled at the position like Brian's dad a lot more seriously than I would Gruden's
