Jon Gruden on Miami Dolphins Quarterback Chad Henne

I seem to remember last year that everybody was loving Henne too. Till Henning got a hold of him! Let's hope that Daboll calls plays to his strengths!

This is absolutely hilarious! When a guy, who a lot of you consider a possible coach for next season, endorses our team/player then he's just promoting his show or being overly optimistic. However, if that same guy condemns our team/player, then it's quoted in tons of threads and shows up in multiple signatures. Outstanding!!!!

Yea, Jaws said something similar as well.............When they were PROMOTING THEIR OWN BROADCAST COMING UP in a couple weeks.

Jaws meant it while Gruden has never met a QB he didn't like. Even though Jaws is pretty good, it's not unusual for even the very best to make a lot of mistakes when evaluating players.

The best Gruden comment was 2 years ago on our Jets MNF game. " This Thomas Jones is a special back! Every coach wants a player like this!" Ummmmm not every coach John because you had him and you cut him.

Whats gruden know about qb's, I got all the info I need about henne from the scouts here at FH

Gruden keeps it real that's why he's my favorite analyst hand's down. I love those quarterback interrogations that he does, classic ****.

ESPECIALLY DierdoRk! That f---ing guy has taken years off of my life.

That makes me so mad at all the freakin loosing coaches that we have had around here! They went out there, they stunk and they left ME open to having to deal with DierdoRk...And yes that took years off of my life!

I'm confident that if John Gruden becomes the Dolphins Head Coach next year he will draft a new QB first. Gruden the analyst throws smiles and hope to everyone. Gruden the coach is always looking to acquire a true franchise QB. Gruden wouldn't be satisfied with Henne. This is just more fluff from him being an analyst with a consistently positive spin on everything.

You're wrong. Gruden the coach has shown that he also loves every QB. He would keep Moore and Henne, draft another one, trade for a fourth and then sign a fifth off the street. Then he'd get Thigpen back and we'd be set. Off course, he'd have to cut one in camp, cause there's no way he'd be keeping all six. Five is all he'd be comfortable with.

I snorted.

Everyone rips Henne still even after he gets praised by a former head coach. Granted Gruden can be full of hot air at times, but the fins are a qb graveyard. The coaching sucks! Plain and simple. Can't keep the qb upright and give him enough time, slow receivers, and no running game to speak of. Hopefully a couple of those change this year; however the team does not put its players in a position to win and kills confidence. I'm curious on how Beck does this year too. Interesting that Beck sucks in everyones eyes and no one mentioned that Sir Cam named him the starter on a Wed without having him practice with the first team and they played Philly in Philly that weekend. Oh and who did they play the next week? Hmmm Pitt.

Back to Henne. If he has time to throw he has a very strong arm. The tough part is the beginning of the season. I don't think the fins are on NE's level yet so week one will be awfully difficult to win. The Texans have improved dramatically, the Jets still are overrated, and the fins man up well against SD. Just to name a few. I still think out of all those defenses the Jets pose the greatest threat the others could show Henne's mustard. I still think he is a solid starter if given a fair chance. Can you imagine how different a player Matt Ryan would have been behind an offensive line like this (remember no Jake Long in that case either)!

He said that about Pat White too when we drafted em...I listened to you Gruden!

He was kidding, Gruden didn't really expect anyone to take him seriously about Pat White......he's very serious this time though.

Gruden likes all QBs. That's why he goes 5 deep.
