Jon Gruden on Miami Dolphins Quarterback Chad Henne

I think he is just making doughnut faces at the dolphins and Mr Ross bc he wants the HC job in MIA if the wise guy fails..

JOHN GRUDEN ON NOT BURNING BRIDGES IN THE NFL
"Hey, that guy on that team wasn't too bad. I like him. If he keeps it up, they might have a productive year."

You're wrong. Gruden the coach has shown that he also loves every QB. He would keep Moore and Henne, draft another one, trade for a fourth and then sign a fifth off the street. Then he'd get Thigpen back and we'd be set. Off course, he'd have to cut one in camp, cause there's no way he'd be keeping all six. Five is all he'd be comfortable with.

He said that about Pat White too when we drafted em...I listened to you Gruden!

Pat White didn't fail because he lacked talent, he failed because after he got his head handed to him once, he then gave up. You can't hold that against him. Can you?

"That Chad Henne guy is pretty good. I'm telling you, teams better look out for the Dolphins." - Jon Gruden.

This is what Jon Gruden's tv script looks like in its entirety:

"That [insert a players name] guy is pretty good. I'm telling you, teams better look out for the [insert player's team name here]." - Jon Gruden

Actually, he got his head knocked in because he failed. The only thing he knew how to do was tuck the ball and run, which is exactly what he did on the called pass play where he got creamed.

It was clearly evident well before this play, which happened in week 17, that he wasn't comfortable at all playing quarterback in the NFL, and his physical skills weren't good enough to outrun the defense.

People are making this entire thread seem ridiculous. Gruden and the crew were talking about seeing Henne in preseason and saying he looked pretty good in the last game and that if he can keep it up, Miami can do good things. That's a completely agreeable statement. I've also seen them heavily criticize Chad Henne after he plays like Chad Henne.

Gruden is normally sounding like he's having the time of his life, that's his TV persona. But I've seen him be critical of players as well.
