Jon Kitna is a decent QB, why dont we just sign him since we'll have so much cap room during the offseason. This way we can use our draft picks to sign other people like O lineman or Cornerbacks. Plus we'll have so much cap room this offseason. I think we can have a Superbowl team by next year. This is gonna be an interesting offseason. Thoughts?

Why sign someone who beat out Gus and forced him to third string IN CINCI?! It'll just get the Gusketeers' panties in a wad!

Well if you go with that philosophy there are dozens of other Qb's who are decent. Yeah he is ok but he is getting older. I would rather have a younger guy to groom for the future. And I am sure Nick would love to draft a Qb of his own liking instead of someone elses garbage.

I was hoping we could've somehow gotten Kitna last year, hell we wasted a 3rd round pick on Lamar Gordon!

Correction, I was wrong. Frerotte did win the starting job in Cinci in 2002. Then he proved to be awful EVEN BY BUNGLES STANDARDS!! After the fourth game, Kitna replaced him. All I remembered from that season was the "musical QBs" game that got Cinci Carson Palmer.

Because there will always be holes and reasons to forego getting a franchise QB. That's the thinking that has kept us out of the SB for the last 20 years.

I actually like Kitna alot as our QB next year. I think if we can't get one of the Chargers big two, we draft a QB on day one and let Kitna hold down the for until he is ready. I actually brought this up in a previous thread not even knowing Kitna was a FA. Unless the FO really likes Lemon and plans to start him next year.

im from cinci and i can tell u kitna would be solid in miami. hes a good qb..except he has said h wants to retire in cinci, him and palmer are good friends..

Kitna's a solid QB but I think the Dolphins need to look to the future for a QB. Something in the draft maybe or via a trade.

Doesn't Kitna have a weak arm? I remember in Seattle he had alot of heart, but not an arm. Anyway, whats with the sudden Kitna lovefest?

Aren't Thursdays recycling days at FinHeaven?

If anything, we need a QB 25 or younger. We need to get rid this nagging problem of having back-ups start for us.

my uncle and best friend is a bengal fan...and they both talk very low on him..so im kinda weary on this subject

Really how many old and overrated QBs do you actually need?

D
Overrated???, hmm i think he will be a good QB for us for a few more years or until we can develop a drafted one. And i didnt know we had any overrated qbs on our roster, most of know Gus and Sage aren't good and i dont know anything about Lemon so I cant comment on him.
