Jon Martin - "I will kill your entire family"

Yes, I know... But he is saying that is the IMAGE that Martin sent Incognito via text...

Yes. He just admitted that Martin sent Richie Incognito a joke image that said "I am going to murder your entire ****ing family."

This situation really has become a complete farce.

THIS is why you don't wait a week to relay context. It's a goddamn gag picture.

Unfortunately for Incognito he doesn't have audio of his own voicemail to provide context. He claims it was all in jest, but that's not verifiable like this picture is. Whatever the truth of this all is, one thing's indisputable at this point, and that's that Martin's team has been light years ahead of Incognito's in playing the PR game.

Yep. But ultimately I think this damages Martin's case pretty badly.

"My client was clearly joking about murdering Richie's entire family."

Just saw germ Edwards' reaction...

WHAT A JOKE!

He blamed Philbin for fostering an environment where this language was acceptable lol

I'm convinced ESPN is determined to smear cogs and miami no matter what

Imagine what Tony 'I always have the moral high ground because I say so' Dungy will say tonight?

The only hope for NBC to somewhat rational is to let Costas moderate any debate.

I think this hurts Martin's team just as much... The lawyers have been saying all this time that these messages from Incognito were real threats... Yet, now that the relationship shows that they were sending these kind of messages in jest to each other, it doesn't matter if its an image or not, it still shows that! If Martin can use that argument, can't Incognito? It puts the whole thing into doubt.

If Martin truly felt bullied, why on Earth would he send a gag pic like that to his bully? Wouldn't that incite more bullying. His argument doesn't hold water.

Just read the thread and am pretty surprised there was no mention of what I consider to be one of the biggest bombshells of the FOX interview. I'm paraphrasing here but basically:

Incognito: WTF are you doing with all of this bully talk?

Martin: I don't know man, its not coming from me.

****ing Parcells, directly brought us Sparano and Ireland which indirectly led to this whole FIASCO. Sparano and Ireland, two of the worst at what they do, if I was wearing a tin foil cap I'd be thinking Parcells had some personal vendetta against the Dolphins.

Incognito should try to recover the voicemail he sent and release it to the public. If we could actually HEAR the whole thing, if it were to sound humorous, it would accomplish the same thing that Cornwell just tried to do with the image.

The whole "killing family members" is clearly in jest ...... meme or no meme. That's why Martin sent that, because he knows how the two of them joke with each other. You think sending a picture of a deranged looking dog changes the message? Give me a break.

This whole situation has become so completely absurd and should never even be in the public spotlight. This reminds me of the uselessness of senators getting involved in steroids in baseball.

You know this whole thing is ****ing ridiculous when you and I are in complete agreement.

Yeah, but it's also turned most of the Democratic Party into Rockefeller Republicans. The people who fund those guys are after goals much larger than the next election, and they have succeeded in shifting the Overton window to favor the success of those goals. Hard to believe the same party that nominated Michael Dukakis 25 years ago now fully supports Barack Obama's drone wars.

There are a lot of limousine liberals and country club republicans. Until citizens united is overturned, politics will be manipulated by the privileged (regardless of ideology) who probably have Ivy league degrees i.e. Martin's parents.

What's really sad about Cornwell is what ultimately is sad about social media. The user controls how things appear. It's a giant shell-game meant to manipulate perception. It's extremely unprofessional for a lawyer. What a joke.

If only Rosenhaus was Incognito's agent. He and Cornwell appear to be bitter enemies. Would love to see the shark tear this lawyer up.

I don't know. When you send somebody a gag picture are you really delivering the message in the picture or just trying to make them laugh?

I mean if I send this to someone:

That's not telling someone you're going to destroy them in a joking way. It's just a video.
