The team just released this statement:
We received notification today from Jonathan’s representation about allegations of player misconduct. We are taking these allegations very seriously and plan to review the matter further. We have also reached out to the NFL and asked them to conduct an objective and thorough review. As an organization, we are committed to a culture of team-first accountability and respect for one another.”

Not good at all

You won't see Jonathan Martin in a Phins uni ever again. Good thing or bad thing, you decide.

Time to cut Jonathan "Big Baby" Martin.

You can't cut someone during a investigation! Especially someone shoes parents are lawyers! Take your teal blinders off the leadership let a player get bullied till he walked out there is some responsibility to be had! I think Martin is a asshat I told you that last year but you can't cut him during a investigation!

So I guess all of the 'we're cool' texts with Incognito were just BS then.

Thank God we have extra time between games and the Bucs coming up. Prob the best time to deal with this.

And so the legal machinations begin. I predict that the Dolphins along with the NFL and a number of players will be facing lawsuits regarding the violation of State and Federal hostile workplace laws and regulations. There is nothing good in the short term that can come from this ror the Dolphins and its current management.

I am so freaking sick of Jonathan Martin. What the hell did we draft with this kid? This is no way to handle this situation. I have yet to hear anything that is so bad that it couldn't have been handled in-house.

His representation is not advising him properly because they should understand how this will hamper his career, including possible blacklisting. Unless, that is, he is giving up on football and has an ulterior motive like coming out.

You bet that will be used against him.

This is how I feel about this whole situation, this should've never left the building.

If it turns out that Martin tried to address this with Philbin and he didn't address it with the players in question, Philbin and the rest of the regime should be cleaned out at the end of the season if the record is pedestrian. Philbin allowed this situation to get out of control and showed zero leadership, if true.

In any case, Martin is a tool. He just booked his ticket out of the NFL. I don't see any team bringing him into the lockerroom after a stunt like this. Heck, even Ricky was commenting on this on Twitter and confirmed this was a ridiculous story, lol.

In the end, Incognoto will be cut and move on.
This actually has greater ramifiations for Philbin, the OL coach and the rest of the team

The lawyers are now involved. The NFL is a deep pocketed defendant. You think passing rushing defensive ends are vicious single-minded SOBs? Just try getting between trial lawyers and an action against a deep pocketed defendant. This has just gone nuclear and will take years to resolve. The only quick way out is if the NFL decides to settle quickly for an obscene amount of money to avoid years and years of discovery in which their books and their whole business is gone over by the trial lawyers with a fine toothed comb.

And just when you think it can't get worse, if Martin's lawyers can find a couple of broke out-of-the league players to make the same accusations, it becomes a class action suit like the concussion case and can potentially cost the NFL huge amounts of money.
