I've recently read that we're looking at both of these free agents to potentially fill our remaining needs. A Vilma signing would be particularly intriguing as he's an instinctual lber who can really hit. We could move Ellersby to the weakside linebacker and Misi and Jenkins or Tripp could fight it out for the strongside lber that usually only plays two downs anyway.

Finley and Clay would be a nice TE combination.

Finley or keller I called it. I said that if we don't draft a receiving TE we will sign Keller or Finley. I don't think we drafted a seam threat

If Finley and Vilma are healthy, they could be handy additions.
I doubt that Koa Misi goes to the mike role, but Jordie Tripp is very athletic with great instincts. If he had attended a major college, he would have had a much bigger profile. Any look at his videos will tell you that he is a safe bet to succeed on Special Teams at a minimum. However, his instincts are so good that he might be ready to compete for the mike role. You realize his speciality is causing his opponents to fumble. He will be very popular in Miami if he can replicate this skill in the NFL. (Come to think of it, his old Montana Griz teammate, Jimmy Wilson has also created some fumbles).

I'd take Vilma even with the bounty gate stuff. Much better than what we had last year and a solid run stuffer. Hope Tripp makes the team as well. Reminds me of another later round pick that turned out pretty good for us.

Bring them in for a non guaranteed contract, especially Vilma...if his knee is better he can give us some depth.....

with arthur lynch and UDFA steal gator hoskins in the mold, as well as charles clay i would be shocked, if they spend any money on another TE

Vilma is interesting.

No need for an old broken down TE though. We have enough guys at that position

If vilma isn't completely done then that is a terrific and ideal pickup. I don't give a **** about bountygate and any blame there rests on the coaches

Completely agree, the blame lies with the architect/s not the players who were doing what they were told to do by their coaches.

And for those that haven't sat through numerous Packer games, Finley drops the ball more than Brandon Marshall so those who complained when he was a Phin be careful what you wish for.

On the plus side Miami charities may like the move:
