Hey everyone ive been to camp and all everyone was saying in the stands including myself was oh **** turk you got a challenge on your hands. This young kid has a leg way stronger than turks. Reliability and Consistency undetermined i mean hes looked good the three times ive seen him. All and all i would have to go with the rook

I beleve that's the reason most veterans end up winning the position. It's how they perform under a rush in live action that counts... Rookies have a real bad habit of folding under intense pressure.

Turk will have the job when it's all said and done.....

His first day he punted the ball, not only out of bounds, but almost in the stands, 6-7 straight times. That was with a rush.

I would also say that he can boom them pretty high, but Turk has been the most consistant.

There must be some discrepancies...I don't have the link, but on one of the camp blogs (either the Post or the Herald), they said that Jones didn't have a chance, but every poster on this board that has seen him has been very positive on the guy...Must be something we as fans don't get about punting ???

As long as Turk doesn't do any more of that **** with taking off running with the ball on 4th and forever and turning it over.. I still haven't figured out why he didn't punt that ball. He had plenty of time to get it off.

I think I came just short of saying he stunk after seeing him on his first day.

Wow. I thought that we was just bringing in Jones to let Turk teach him how to be a good punter, and then we would release him and let another team sign him. I didn't know that Jones was going to do this good.
