Jonh Clayton update on Manning

Sorry but if he chooses Denver over us I feel our franchise has sunk to rock bottom

I disagree with that. We really don't know if this administration is really sold on Manning or a QB in the draft. I see this as a poker game. You never show your hand before it's time.

I agree with you on this. Houston or SF I could understand. Heck even AZ with Fitz and the dome. I just don't get why Denver is even a option for him.
Cause it's the weakest division in football. Denver made the playoffs with an 8-8 record and Tebow as the leading QB. It's an easy run to the playoffs.

If he's going to choose to play in a cold weather location, I'd certainly choose the chiefs instead of the broncos if winning was his biggest concern. They have way more pieces on both sides of the ball.

I disagree, San Diego should be much improved and playing in the cold for more than half your games is always difficult, especially for a 36 year old Manning. You're going to need arms strength for those games and last I checked Manning didn't have a lot of that even before he was injured.

It made a lot of business sense to enter into the sweepstakes 2 teams one with 50 cap room - unfortunately I am not buying into this Denver hype - Tebow is untradable for anything but a 4th - the Tebow nation drives a stake into the plausibilty of Manning to Denver

Zona - has very little outside of Fitz and they will meet Eli in the POs should Zona get there - noy buying into it - at all - they paid dearly to acquire Kolb it costs them valuable unrecoverable assets - they don't habe a great D or good O line - Not a lot of cap room compared to Denver

MIAMI - the only team without a QB - a good start on Oline - a decent D won a number of games at the end - Manning won't be messed with by Sherman and Philbin - Manning camp had to build up a percieved bidding war - the trade of STL 2nd did njothing to help Mannings camp with FLynn available - Hungry owner

WRITING IS ON THE WALL

Dramatic much? What the heck does his decision to sign with Denver have to do with where the Dolphins are heading as an organization. One has no correlation to the other. How Miami does next season isn't depended upon the decisions made by a 36-year-old quarterback, and tomorrow won't be any different than today for the Dolphins whether he signs with Denver or another team.

It'd be nice to have him, but what's with this melodrama of "Oh, my God, we're doomed!" stuff? You're not 14.

Whether Manning or Flynn, Miami will have its 2012 starting QB by Thursday night at the latest.

Let me tell you something when the organization comes out and says we are goin "all in" on Manning and we don't even have a meeting scheduled yet its a joke. We have been a joke for a long time. Harbaugh Fisher Saban and endless sleu of useless QB's and decades of medeocrity on and on..Cause let me tell you something we loose out on Manning what makes you so sure Flynn is coming here? What if he stiffs us to?

Oh man. The Tebow freaks out here are so pissed. If Manning signs with Denver half that fanbase will hate him.

I disagree. A Peyton Manning is the ONLY FA QB Elway could bring in that would negate Tebowmania and put an end to Elway's nightmarish QB-of-the-people situation. Elway is not happy with Tebow. If he can get Manning there, he will.

If he "stiffs us", then MIAMI goes w/MOORE. In case a lot of the dimwits around here missed it, MOORE was rated the 12th best QB in the NFL last season, despite no preseason, despite back-up QB's "reps" until HENNE went down, despite the COLUMBO/CAREY fiasco, despite the MEATBALL as HC, and despite the lingering stench of PARCELLSBALL. And also, all of a sudden, MIAMI, w/all its troubles, is ranked in the top 5 teams in completions over 20 yards, which hadn't happened in years.

Get a topshelf G in F/A, LIKE MIAMI SHOULD HAVE DONE LAST YEAR, and your OL (worst case scenario) is LONG, F/A, POUNCEY, INCOGNITO, and the winner of CAREY/JERRY/MURTHA. And there would be some quality OL depth, as well. All this w/o drafting an OLman high in the 1st Round. So if "playmakers" are there at #8 and the 2nd Round, GUESS WHAT?

All of this, and COLUMBO's gone, both CAREY and INCOGNITO play their best position, and The MEATBALL won't be mismanaging ANY more games here! What if the "playmaker" is BLACKMON? Hell, MIAMI could MOVE UP to get him! Now that CLEVELAND is out of the RGIII competition, why not offer them suitable value to switch 1st Round picks? That makes BLACKMON or KALIL a "lock". Or maybe MIAMI could just sit at #8 and wait to see who drops into its lap! It could be BLACKMON, or RICHARDSON, or TANNEHILL, or KALIL, or that CB (d.r. his name). One thing IS for sure: it'll be someone really GOOD.

So: WHY PANIC? Especially about an unknown quantity like FLYNN? MANNING is guaranteed quality (if healthy), FLYNN isn't.

Uh, different front offices at different times - Saban was overrated and Fisher is a prima donna. Ross made a serious run at Harbaugh and failed. So? And why are you so melodramatic about a declining quarterback? Man, I'd hate to see you when a woman turns you down for a date - that must be SO traumatic!

See, this is just incredible to me. Its the epitomy of liking a player over a team. If you're truly a die-hard Broncos fan, you should be THRILLED if your team signs Peyton Manning. I mean, the Tebow crap just amazes me. Why wouldn't you want your team to get the BEST PLAYERS to help the franchise win a championship? Isn't that the whole point?
