Jonh Clayton update on Manning

If he "stiffs us", then MIAMI goes w/MOORE. In case a lot of the dimwits around here missed it, MOORE was rated the 12th best QB in the NFL last season, despite no preseason, despite back-up QB's "reps" until HENNE went down, despite the COLUMBO/CAREY fiasco, despite the MEATBALL as HC, and despite the lingering stench of PARCELLSBALL. And also, all of a sudden, MIAMI, w/all its troubles, is ranked in the top 5 teams in completions over 20 yards, which hadn't happened in years.

Would I be thrilled if Peyton signed w/ Miami? Yell Hes. Manning @ 75% is light years ahead of everyone else taking snaps since Dan Retired. However, it won't be the end of my world should Peyton go elsewhere.

Luduporcu has valid points regarding Moore and all the obstacles he faced last season. I don't know if Moore is a long term solution. However, there is finally a staff in place that has a frickin clue.

So: WHY PANIC? Especially about an unknown quantity like FLYNN? MANNING is guaranteed quality (if healthy), FLYNN isn't.

Agreed that Flynn is largely unknown quantity, but, he would be with a HC who knows him and how to utilize his strengths.

Regardless of who the QB is; the phins desperately need a RT or RG. I'd prefer trading down & getting an extra 2nd then drafting Fleener & Zeitler. The projected OL could be... Jake, Jerry, Pouncey, Zeitler, Garner.

How do we know this staff has a clue?

People said The Sparano and Cameron Staffs had a clue

Why? The donkeys would have a QB on their roster. To quote Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory, "Bazinga!"

Bronco fans were calling into KOA 850 in Denver.....I was listening to the comments, and Dave Logan (Bronco's play-by-play man) was tallying up the calls and it was about 58% in favor of bringing Manning in to start, and about 42% wanting the team to continue with Tebow as their QB.

I disagree, San Diego should be much improved and playing in the cold for more than half your games is always difficult, especially for a 36 year old Manning. You're going to need arms strength for those games and last I checked Manning didn't have a lot of that even before he was injured.
Oh but Tebow has arm strength? Tebow doesn't even know where the ball is going once it leaves his hand...46% accuracy.

And as long as Norv Turner is the coach of San Diego they will be an underachieving team. Turner should have been fired along with A.J. Smith. Vincent Jackson is being allowed to walk, Ryan Matthews is always hurt, Antonio Gates is always hurt, Patrick Crayton is a free agent, Jared Gaither their LT is also a free agent. Don't see them improving over this past season.

Uh, different front offices at different times - Saban was overrated and Fisher is a prima donna. Ross made a serious run at Harbaugh and failed. So? And why are you so melodramatic about a declining quarterback? Man, I'd hate to see you when a woman turns you down for a date - that must be SO traumatic!
Whatever guy reality is its been 38 years since we won a super bowl how old are you 22? Don't tell me I'm being dramatic it's called frustrated

So 30 people call in and they act like it's a presidential poll?

Doesn't matter how many people called in, Tebow's fanbase is huge, who are now Broncos fans. And yes, if Manning has a bad game there will be Tebow chants in Mile High.

Either way I think Elway cuts Tebow if Manning signs.

John Clayton and Chris Mortenson should be added to the profanity filter. Shocking that these 2 still have jobs when they've been consistently wrong about everything for years now.

So if Wayne and Clark go to Denver with Manning, and Manning gets hurt, they will be so happy blocking for Tebow and catching a pass or two every few games.

New member here. I am following Peyton from the Colts to this forum because this is where I believe he will end p. I know the experts say he has a good chance of going to Denver, but it snows there; and even though he can play in the snow, why should he? He is a southern boy. Arizona is in the NFC, and I do not believe he will go to any NFC team because of Eli, no matter how attractive the setting. I do not believe KC can win him. So that leaves Miami, where it is warm, he has a home already, and his old chum Wayne does too, etc. etc. etc. Ashley will have a lot to say about it and she will say, "Peyton, we don't really have to move if you go to Miami. We can live in the condo as long as we want, and buy a house or not, depending on how long you play." So, Miami it is.
