Jonnu Smith Trade?

I’d rather have Washington then the late 3 pick you’d get back.

I know that much. But why would Pitt want Jonnu when it already has freirmuth in a similar role.

Doesn’t add up for me

Probably should start with not featuring a 185 lb back. Elite vision or not.

I’m just sayin.

You want to dictate in the run game tight end upgrades are nice but you need a grader back.
If Wright knows his blocking assignments and routes this season I could see them leaning that way with Brown and another blocking TE like Washington as you said earlier. It's a good RB room I feel.

Wright reminds me of Aaron jones. Doesn’t get used enough imo.

But I think Achane gets so much run because of the outflank in the flats etc.

You add Washington and trade for Michael Mayer you instantly transform your 12 personnel unit into a positive.

Was just going to mention Washington, he was pretty highly graded a few years ago, he’s a pretty good blocker as well

This is because every time one player has a good year we reward him, now everybody knows and wants a slice of the pie. Best we could hope for is a 3rd or a player back

I disagree with that completely. Outside of his quick acceleration I think his vision carries him.
Watch the tape.

He even said himself how much meat he left on the bone last year in his most recent interview.

By a large margin. We're not totally hopeless yet, are we? Let's at least look like **** and lose some games before we start shipping out cheap, productive talent for late round picks.
Yeah. If the Tua trips and falls down the stairs and gets another concussion or tears his ACL tomorrow, trade Jonnu for peanuts. But right now might as well keep him. If he leaves in free agency next year we should get a 2027 comp pick so why force a trade?

Jonny did nothing until the season was over in realistic terms. He’s 30 now and doesn’t block. Give me a 3rd and go.

Really glad we passed on Tyler Warren for a nose tackle given this exciting new information.

Being a Dolphins fan is a curse.

You people really love to complain about everything.

First of all Grant is not just a nose tackle but even if he was a good NT is far more important to our defense than a tight end is to our offense especially one that can’t block. We had the #1 offense with Durham smythe as our tight end in 2023 in case you forgot.

Last year Jonnu was great but he hardly changed our offense, in fact the year he played we had the worst offense under McDaniel so don’t get this irrational take.

My guess is they are trying to entice Rodgers as much as possible and an inline guy who can be a solid receiver but is on the raw side doesn’t do that much.
