Jonnu Smith Trade?

Ya they were figured out with the two deep safety look that teams played against them. They had no answer for it hence why the deep passing game they had in 2022 and 2023 went away last year.
They scored 24.1 points per game, how did they have “no answer for it”?

Hurts athletically is a beast. You need a very specific rare set of skills to run that offense.

For example, the tush push is such an immensely valuable weapon. Yet, there's really no one that can do it on the same field as Hurts.

We can agree to disagree.

Tush push doesn’t validate a qb. You want to tell me if hurts was our qb we’d run that same play at the same success level behind this oline?

If hurts is the one that’s carrying it why wouldn’t we? He’s got tree trunks for legs and his leg strength is way up there no doubt.

But he’s getting stuffed behind this oline a fair share of the time if Miami resorted to it on every 3rd or 4th and one.

Not alone, but coupled with his running ability, top 5 throwing stats, ability to stay on the field does validate him.

I didn't say their offensive line doesn't play a role. Of course it helps, but you can put many QBs into that Philly system that would be complete failures.

The Bills game they did okay but they only scored 17 points against the Packers so I don't know why you think they did great in that game when they clearly didn't.

You said high Impact offense on a top tier team, almost 400 yards of offense is pretty good offense on a top team that went to the playoffs.

Also though we expect Miami to score more then 20 points every game, 17 points against a top team in their home stadium is pretty good. That game became a loss more due to how many points the Defense allowed, then how many points the offense scored.

That’s fair. You aren’t gonna run that system with many qbs either.

I would say a bit of both. Offense didn't score enough to deserve a win and the defense gave up too much. Both units need to play better to beat a playoff team on the road.

I was talking about how many points they scored. Like I said in another post they averaged 31 points a game against below 500 teams and only 17 points a game against above 500 teams in 2023 and Tua played every game that year.

They had no deep game last year! That is no answer for it! You don't think they would have loved to throw deep like they did the prior two seasons? It was taken away from them by the defenses they played.

20.3 points per game. But to be fair 25.5 points per game when Tua was healthy. Which would have been good for 8th in the NFL.
Are you not counting the first Buffalo game? They scored 265 points in the 11 games Tua played which is 24.1 points per game.
