Jordan first supension lifted/Suspended again

According to Albert Breer, Dion Jordan's postitive test for amphetamines flipped from PED to substance abuse, but since Dion Jordan was already in the substance abuse program this 2nd violation triggers a suspension.

So this is is drug addicted timeline:

Put into substance abuse program from a substance abuse violation - suspended for 4 games for PED's - serves 2 games of PED suspension - NFL's new policy turns amphetamine suspensions into substance abuse violations - Players with first time offenses on substance abuse get suspensions revoked, since it was Jordan's 2nd violation, he gets slapped with a brand new suspension

Jordan quote- "I am currently ubdergoing treatment to address my situation. I an working hard to become a better man and to make better choices in the future. I am especially looking forward to returning to the team. I also want to thank my family, coach Philbin and the Miami Dolphins for their support."

Philbin said the team supports Dion for seeking help voluntarily, while being disappointed.

Did anyone else see this coming from his comments before the suspension started?

This makes sense, but hopefully he get credit for 2 games served.

Wow, it wouldve been nice to use that 3rd overall pick on something useful... God I love and hate the draft!

As far as I see, it's a brand new suspension and he isn't reinstated until the 20th of October. Hopefully they argue for time served, but I don't know if they've already tried to do that or anything.

Sounds like it if that is indeed the next suspension for a 3rd substance abuse violation.

Well thats a load of ****. He's being punished twice for the same crime? Fight it NFLPA.

i would think that would have already been discussed and decided before they released it to the media...but then again goodells reactive not proactive
