A six-pack of nuggets from the Dolphins’ coordinators Monday:

• Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph hasn’t hesitated to call out players who aren’t doing enough. On Monday, he made clear that more is needed from defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, a second-round pick in 2015.

“The bottom line is Jordan (Phillips) has got to play better overall,” Joseph said. “Out of 35 plays, Jordan is playing a solid 25 plays very solidly. He's having four or five plays where it's not very good. I think [Ndamukong] Suh is playing well.

i believe that was the knock on him coming out of college, taking plays off!we really need our front 7 playing good ball to make up for that secondary

Yep, he hasn't raised the intensity level even though others around him are disrupting. There's been space for Phillips to have another Seattle-type play but it hasn't happened.

We are going to need Phillips. The last two opponents have rarely had the ball and didn't really try to run the ball when they did have it. Logically that can't continue.

Glad to see Grant getting out there at last. I've been calling for it. Just one play but made a difference. So much that they can do with him out there. Drake too and now with foster gone he'll get more chances

Ozzy rules!!

He flashes nicely, just needs to be more consistent. Doing well early in his sophomore year at a very difficult position, IMO.

I haven't focused on Jordan, but hes def pushing up the field more often it feels like. His athletism is really starting to shine especially in the game vs the steelers.

Big agile mother fcker he is.

Didn't he give big ben the knee injury just by swatting his leg? I don't think ive ever seen that.

Dontari Poe should be a high priority free agent in 2017, along with Donta Hightower.

That would be huge if he can develop. Suh needs help in the middle.

What's your view on Tony Lippett so far? Haven't seen the games where he has played.

I had Phillips graded as a 1st rnd pick and had him as a player we should target in that draft to develop next to Suh. I don't think people really appreciate how insanely agile he is at that size. Your not going to find a lot of guys that size that move like that.

Running stride for stride with a WR! his upside hasn't even been touched yet.

I like where Lippett is. I like the vision and dedication by Tannebenbaum to work on this project.. He didn't fit coyles defense so I have no doubt Mike forced lippet on them, because he stayed on the roster all season last year.

I personally don't like drafting players just to make them change their positions. It rarely works and it takes patience time and reps that could go elsewhere. But big press corners are hard as heck to find and his ball skills give him a rare ability most corners don't have.

I think he's developed a lot this year. Cornerback is in opinion one of the hardest positions to evaluate in the draft, and to develop in the NFL. He's shown a lot of guts and dedication to his craft, mike may of hit big with him. Being asked to become a press corner in the NFL while playing mostly WR in college is a lot to ask.

As of right now though, he still needs a pass rush to be decent. He just doesn't have the instincts yet, but he shouldn't be expected to either. I didn't expect him to be as good as he's been at this point.

they need call out parker too.

They did already. He might just be soft. It's a legit concern to question how much he loves the game at this point.

A lot of people believed we drafted Caroo to replace stills. I'm starting to believe he drafted him because he didn't trust Parker. Carroo is everything Parker isn't as far as playing physical.
