Josh Allen Sacked 5 Times In First Start Says He Wasn't Decisive.

All 5 happened before the end of the first half. Wondering if the coaches should of pulled him after the 3rd.

Josh Allen says he held onto ball too long in first start

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen said he held the ball too long in his preseason starting debut Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals in which he was sacked five times.

Allen played almost the entire first half until he was removed from the game by an NFL concussion spotter with 16 seconds remaining in the second quarter. Allen, whose helmet hit the turf when he was hit by a Bengals defender after throwing the ball away, was later cleared to return but did not re-enter the game.

I watched some of the game. He's being honest. He kept double clutching the football instead of just turning it loose. Although his receivers dropped a few perfect passes too. They didn't help him.

First pass of the game he hit Charles Clay right in the hands and he dropped it. Later threw a deep pass downfield to Kelvin Benjamin who was very well covered - don't know how Allen got that ball in there but he did...Benjamin dropped it.

Then he got robbed by the refs of a first down scramble where he broke the pocket and stretched for the marker on the sideline. Replay showed he clearly had the ball past the marker.

Bills offensive line isn't very good. It's why A.J. McCarron is hurt and Josh Allen was starting in the first place. They looked like one of Miami's offensive lines of a year or two ago. It was dreadful. But the Bengals also have one of the deepest and most disruptive defensive lines in the NFL. A few excellent young pass rushers that Miami passed on. They're loaded up front.

Last but not least, Tremaine Edmunds was an absolute monster today in that game. Made several plays that just left you stunned. Great, great looking young linebacker.

He looked lost really lost, grate DL but no game planning wait till the games are for real.

He has slow processing speed that's why he was so indecisive and won't make it in this league. A QB has to think quicker and this was the #1 knock on him and isn't something you fix. Also had a pick dropped in this one if we are talking about drops
