I recall around trade deadline time I read some reports that the Phins had spoken to the Browns about him. How serious the discussions were obviously no one really knows. What I do know is he would look real good in a Phins uniform next year. His price tag is obviously going up as he continues to make plays. Also, if the Phins stick with the Wildcat, he can be used there as well. Bess is useless as a punt returner, and well, Tedd Ginn just nauseates me. Anyone know if Cribbs is RFA or UFA next year?

No, he won't be a UFA.. And Holmgren just became the man in charge of the Browns today.

So forget about it.

Just draft CJ Spiller in the first if that's where you want to go.

Has Mike Holmgren made any comments about re-signing Cribbs? Id say a return man is a big need for the Phins, especially if they want to play smash mouth. A guy that can tilt field position would be a big help. That and sending Tedd Ginn to the CFL. He will love it here, the field is wider so he can run towards the sidelines even longer.

Parcells will find a young hungry guy to be a returner, not invest a high pick in him. Do you want to trade a first day pick and pay a big contract for a special teams guy? Why would Cleveland want to get rid of their only weapon anyway? You can find a good return guy in the draft and they will be hungry to do it.

Cribbs isnt going anywhere.. They'll give him the cash he wants and he'll sign a multiyear deal..

On a side note.. Hagan just caught a TD pass.. haha.. The redskins Oline must not have gotten out of bed tonight because they sure arent at redskins stadium

If you know you can get an impact returner in the 3rd or beyond, Im all for it. But you know what you have in Cribbs, and like I mentioned, you could also work him into the WC offense if you choose to continue with that. If Cleveland appreciated what they had in him, he would already have a new deal. I mean what else does the man have to do?

They havent had a GM for 8 weeks.. Holmgren isnt stupid, he is going to give him his money

I don't see Cribbs going anywhere and I think he has been promised a new contract already, plus he is the only weapon on that team. He isn't going anywhere and we don't need a big investment in a special team or another part time player.

I can see the "why did we get rid of Derek Hagan" threads now.....

 you know it.

Cribbs just signed a new 6 year deal 1 year or two ago, he wants more money now because that deal is for peanuts when he really hadn't done anything yet.

Mangini said no to trading him because of him being the most talented player on the team and has a great contract.

I'm also not interested in trading for a KR, they don't produce for very long. Let's just find our own and trade Ginn for anything!

haha yea i saw that
