Josh Gordon failed ANOTHER drug test

They can fail you for alcohol? Was this before practice or something? Weird.

I said the same thing in another thread.

The timing of this should not surprise anybody. Anything to get people to stop talking about deflategate.

It was a condition of his re-instatement since his DUI was a factor. The substance abuse was deemed to be alcohol and that was the test he needed to pass.

I don't think he should be kicked out for a legal substance for a year, if it was weed again so be it but for the NFL says "nope, you got busted for weed and DWI so you are out".

There are alcohol monitors that are place around the ankles that can tell if alcohol is in your system. Not sure if that is what Gordon has, regardless he has a substance abuse problem, be it alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, etc. I am surprised so many can't see that and condone him drinking alcohol. Weed , booze , etc is what is causing Gordon's life to spiral out of control, if he can't contain himself from using those substances to prevent his implosion, he has a problem.

Golden

So rumor has it that Johnny Manziel was partying with Josh Gordon in Austin , Texas over the weekend. The picture above shows Manziel posing for a selfie with the caption “Bad pic but me and Johnny Manziel are turning up right now!!!!” and it doesn’t stop there. Johnny was seen pouring beer out of a window with Teammate Josh Gordon during the same house party. These two really don’t give a fugg. If only they took playing as seriously as partying.

Josh Gordan's open letter if you care to read. Here is a piece of it.

Most importantly, I have failed myself. Again.

I failed myself when started using marijuana regularly as a young teenager. I failed myself when I ruined a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be Robert Griffin III’s running mate during his Heisman Trophy-winning season at Baylor. I failed myself when I didn’t check with the league office to ensure that my doctor-prescribed, codeine-based medicine was allowed under NFL guidelines. I failed myself when I was arrested for driving a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit. I failed myself when I missed a team walkthrough late in the season and was suspended for the final game of the year.

But you know what, Charles, Stephen A., Cris and everyone else? I also have succeeded.

I succeeded by escaping a youth riddled with poverty, gang violence and very little in the way of guidance or support. I succeeded by narrowly avoiding a life of crime that managed to sink its clutches into almost all of my childhood friends. I succeeded by working tremendously hard on my craft and my body to even have a chance to play professional football for a living. And, contrary to popular belief, I succeeded by overcoming my longstanding relationship with weed — because I knew I was risking my future over it.

Really hate it that Josh is blowing all of his chances away!:err:

Poor me Poor me

Doesn't sound like the words of someone on the path to recovery. Time to quit making excuses and take responsibility.

Josh Gordon's one year suspension not only effectively ends Browns career, it makes it exceedingly unlikely he ever plays in NFL again.

I think La Canfora got one right this time, his career is likely over.
