Tired of dudes getting in trouble for weed.

Not making an excuse for Gordon. Shows poor self control. You've got to play by their rules even if you don't agree with them. I'm just saying that in general I'm tired of guys getting suspended for a substance that A) isn't performance enhancing, & B) will be legal nation-wide within the next decade.

Yes it will

Losing Gordon is a huge blow for Johnny Football. I actually thought Cleveland could be a good landing spot for him with a solid defense and Gordon to throw the ball to. Now? Nnnnot so much.

WKYC reporting Browns WR Josh Gordon issued a speeding ticket over the weekend and his passenger issued a citation for marijuana possession.

Not a big deal but it amazes how so many sports stars don't get it. Time and time again you see guys like Gordon going out of the way to trip over their own feet. So many previous examples these guy can learn from yet they can't stay on the straight path for just a small time in their careers. They got the rest of their lives to let loose.

What an idiot. I don't get these guys. Yeah, it's stupid that you can't smoke it right now, I get it. But right or wrong, it's against NFL rules. If you are LUCKY, you'll only have to abstain for 10 or so years, usually less. Make your crazy money, retire at 30-something, buy a big ass pot farm in Colorado, and smoke to your heart's content. Or do it your way, smoke now, lose out on millions, complain about it, and end up working a ****ty job for the rest of your life because you clearly aren't smart enough to have gotten anything out of your time in university.

Who speeds when their high?
Already in trouble with the National Football League for a reported failed drug test, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon was issued a speeding ticket over the Memorial Day holiday weekend in Strongsville.

According to the citation, Gordon's 2014 grey Mercedes-Benz SUV was clocked going 74 miles an hour in a 60-mile-per-hour zone north of state route 82 on Interstate 71 North at 9:43 p.m. on Sunday, May 25.

Gordon is summoned to appear in court on Wednesday, June 4 to dispute the citation.

"We are gathering information regarding the situation," Browns general manager Ray Farmer said in a statement released by the team. "We will not have any further comment until the appropriate time."

In addition to his speeding ticket, Gordon's passenger was issued a citation for possession of marijuana in an amount under 200 grams during the traffic stop. The marijuana was found in a blue bag with identification, and Gordon's passenger admitted it was theirs on the scene.

Gordon is subject to an indefinite suspension for a failed drug test, according to reports that surfaced on ESPN's Outside The Lines on Friday, May 9.

Last season, Gordon missed the Browns' first two games because of a drug-related suspension, but came back with a vengeance and finished the year as the NFL's leader in receiving yards.

Is weed so awesome you can't do it when you aren't supposed to? Drink a ****ing Cherry Coke or something to take the edge off.

Unfortunately I don't think this is the last we'll hear about Gordon getting into trouble, and I'm not talking about weed. Everything I've ever heard about him is that he hangs around with terrible thugs and assholes. Not saying he's a Hernandez in waiting but it wouldn't shock me to see him get in serious trouble sometime soon. Gordon is so talented the game isn't even that interesting to him. He goes out and dominates because it's a fun hobby.

The thing about a guy like Gordon is that while weed isn't chemically addictive, it clearly gets to be a psychological addiction with some people. I can't speak to Gordon specifically but his behavior fulfills the classic definition of addiction of a behavior that a person continues regardless of persistent negative outcomes. I suppose it's possible he doesn't give a **** about making millions of dollars but that seems... I dunno. Maybe I just can't wrap my head around that.

Not only that, and correct me if I am wrong, unless you have been caught already using it, don't the players know when they are going to get tested? I don't think there is random testing done unless you already have been caught? And then it takes what only like 30 days to clean out your system? Put it down for a month or two, pass the mandatory test, and then shmoke till the cows come home!

Josh Gordon might be the dumbest human being on the planet.

He makes Mike Pouncey look like a super genius.
