Josh Johnson, QB from San Diego has the most incredbile TD:INT ratio I've ever seen!! Just thought I'd share...
Yea yea I know, San Diego is a Division 1-AA school but still, his stats are remarkable. And I think Joe Flacco plays in Division 1-AA also.
In his senior season, he threw 43 TDs and 1, yes only 1 INT... that sounds like something out of a video game...His final stats for his career at SD were 113 TDs, 15 INTs and a completion percentage of 68% with 9,699 yards passing!
He also runs a 4.5/40. He was the MVP of the East/West Shrine game...Intriguing prospect

Josh is the best second day QB in this draft, in my opinion, and he is a better pick than Joe Flacco also. I know that will bring on the heat from Flecco fans but it's the truth. Josh has played all 4 years while Joe has only played in a little over 20 games plus he had to leave Pitt to get a chance to play?? When you combine that with the fact that Johnson's stats blow away Flacco's Josh Johnson becomes the guy to take and I think we will go mid 3rd to early 4th.

I was waiting for this day to come because I played with Josh Johnson at the University of San Diego. I was a senior on the offensive line when he was a sophomore and I will tell you that Josh Johnson has amazing knowledge of the game has great arm strength, accuracy, and speed. He has height but the only negative most people see is his weight. I would love to see Josh in a Dolphins uniform and after seeing the way Beck did last season I would put all my money on saying that he would have a much better first year.

I had him as a 4th rd pick, part of the package that sent JT to Green bay for a 2nd and 4rth, we grab Xavier Adibi with the 2nd rd pick

A poor man's version of Michael Vick, no thanks.

Josh Johnson was by far and away the best QB I watched n college this year. I didn't see any regular season games or him in a bowl but in the allstar game against the top talent in college. He was amazing and was the only QB that looked worthy of a 1st round pick IMO. If we get a chance I want him.

Josh don't run much. He is the best passer I seen all year and the only QB at the allstar games to play worth a crap. Flakko, Ainge, and Woodson stunk up the feild and Johnson came in and lite up his game. He is the real deal IMO.

Never saw him play, but with every new eval I read, the more impressed I become. If still available in the 3rd round, I'd feel comfortable with his selection. Hey, if he turns out half as good as his fellow alumnus Marshall Faulk, he'll be doing fine! SD State's produced some viable NFL players past and present so apparently the level of competition is not too much of an obstacle.

I'd like to draft him, but he wont see the field this season. Beck should have never been on the field last year. Cameron failed miserably preparing him or his lack of preparation. You will see much better play out this team this year. I'm not saying a winning season.

I think people under estimate how bad we were, and how Cameron threw Beck to the wolves to try to save his job. Bck was running the scout team in practice.

Beck will look much better this year!

I sure hope your right. I will be pulling for Beck. My personel opinion is Johnson is the best QB in the draft and I would love to have him. I think the secret got let out of the bag at the Shrine Bowl. He really impressed me and everyone else. Alot of scouts were there looking at the big name QB's and they could'nt move the ball. Josh came in and drove right down the feild with athority and a confidence that I haven't seen from any of the higher profile guys.

Ya I definitely would not expect him to be starting any games in the first year if he was drafted because he would have to learn about the speed change. And he did not go to San Diego State where Marshall Faulk went most people confuse the losing school (San Diego State) in San Diego with the winning school(University of San Diego). And althoguh it was only on the Division 1-AA level I believe this stat is incredible on any level of football. His senior year Johnson threw for 51 TDs and only 1 INT. That is not counting the TDs he ran for. As for him being a poor man's Michael Vick is not true. Josh was always a pass first run second QB when stuff was not open he used his feet to give him more time for the pass to open up. And unlike Michael Vick, Josh Johnson does not have off the field troubles he is a good person with no legal problems.

If we pass on Flacco and Henne and he is there when we pick in the third round, he might be worth a look. Have the Dolphin's even contacted him or brought him in for a workout?
