Josh Rosen........

To be put it eloquently... duh doy!

The one positive I have seen from this trade is that Chris Grier admitted he was wrong, drafted Tua, and shipped out Rosen. It shows Grier is willing to cut bait if needed. He made a mistake but then he fixed it, and quickly. I like that. It didnt take 7 years to tell this guy didnt cut the mustard.

Except he made a mistake on players he shipped out
ALL performed at a high level
This is indisputable

I was specifically talking about Rosen but I will bite. Like who? Tunsil deal would have been dumb to turn down. Minkah was disgruntled. Raekwon was trash and a one dimensional LB.

We were going to cut McMillan if we didnt trade him. The fact we were able to get anything made me happy.

I am the biggest Chris Grier critic on this board, but his trades have been the best part of his tenure in my opinion.

Regardless Tunsil top LT but a lot in return
Mostly shipping out these 2 which created wholes that required filling
Minkah pro bowl S
Drake played pretty well...heads and shoulders above anyone on the Fins

it is what it is. obviously we would have been a lot better off with the 2nd round pick on a rebuilding team, but i totally get hedging your bets on a Top 10 player from the previous year in case we couldn't get Tua.

I know you know better. Grier did NOT trade for Rosen with all coaching staff against it.

You can call it a mistake, but I more see it as being aggressive and taking a shot. If you miss then you move on and thats what we did. A second round draft pick isn't franchise breaking and the Saints basically gave us the pick back anyway.

It got us Tua so all is good.
