Josh Wilson (Maryland)

I am a University of Maryland graduate and remember Farrell Edmunds and JB Brown (although most would like to not remember JB) on the Dolphins.

Maryland players have tended to excel of late in the NFL from Merriman to Lamont Jordan and many others. I agree whole heartedly in drafting Terrapins that way I can mention that to others, especially former Marylander who are not Dolphin fans.

I would be curious to know how many former Terrapin players are active in the NFL now.

I think he's too short to be considered in rounds 3-5. I think there's a better possibility that he slips to rounds 6-7, maybe even goes undrafted. But, you're right, he's a heck of a player

im a maryland terps fan and watched this kid all year, id love to draft him and i think he went from a 6-7 rounder to a 3-5th rounder, espcially after the combine and he proves it. he wont start from day one and his hieght is small only 5-9 but i like him.
here is abit of his profile.

Josh Wilson's speed and athleticism is his greatest assest. He can run with the best receivers and is willing to come up and force the run. The one thing he doesn't do well is make a lot of plays.
He may only be 5'9" but so are the Dolphins' starting CBs, Will Allen and Andre Goodman.

What does height have to do with what round he can be drafted in? Tye Hill was the 15th pick in last year's draft and he's only 5'9"

yeah, and you guys saw how our corners couldn't handle Matt Jones at all in the Jacksonville game?

I'm not trying to say that Josh Wilson won't be a good player, because I think he will be, but if you're 5'9" you better be flawless. Right now Wilson has speed and good tackling to his credit, but gave up plays he shouldn't have at the Senior Bowl. Unless someone just absolutely falls in love with his 40 number (like many people here do), I don't think he cracks round 5.
