I dont know it it has been posted yet. I just saw this on the blog and i thought i would share.

"The Dolphins are listing Akin Ayodele (back) as having participated in today full practice while Joey Porter (hamstring) and Phillip Merling (ankle) were limited in drills. Merling, by the way, was still heavily wrapped and limping."

Porter seems poised to return to action against the Jets after missing last week's game versus Buffalo. “Joey was not completely full but did a good amount of work, he was limited," coach Tony Sparano said.
So it looks good for our pass rush from the outside...with JT, JP and Wake looking to be good for Monday.

But our D-Line might need to step up with Merling either being very limited our out.

and on the Jets side...

"The Jets had starting right tackle Damien Woody (ankle) and cornerback Donald Strickland (ankle) sit out drills altogether.

WR Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring), S Kerry Rhodes (knee) and CB Lito Sheppard (quadricep) will limited during practice. LB Larry Izzo (hamstring), S Jim Leonhard (knee) and LB Bryan Thomas (wrist) were able to work through the entire practice"
The Woody injury and him being held up might do us some good i dont know how deep they are on the o-line but if he is playing hurt Wake, Porter and JT can have a field day with him or his backup

The rest look like they will play but will be playing hurt and may only have limited plays...long drives will again be our best friend.

Losing Woody is a blow. The Jets need to stay injury free because the depth is not there across the board. Perfect case in point was the loss of Pace. That is why they are so excited to see him return. The drop off was large in his absence.

Since Pace hasn't played all year, I doubt he will be up to "game" speed for this game, nor have the lungs for 4 quarters. I don't think he will be as effective as he would normally be.

Practice is one thing but actually getting in there and playing is something completely different.

If Merling cannot go, let Starks or McDaniel rotate. Mcdaniel has looked pretty good IMO.

The Jets backup tackle they seem to have only one backup tackle his name is Wayne Hunter i havent found much on him he has played on three teams and never s tarted....in 6 years in the NFL he has like 17 career appearance 14 of those were last years i think Wake, JP and JT can handle him

the drop off was large?....we went 3-1 without Pace and sit atop the AFC East......where's the drop off again?

You guys have been called blitz happy...yet you have 4 sacks all year Cam Wake had 3 last week.....the drop off is you send extra guys for pressure thats fine but you dont get the QB...with Pace maybe you can send less guys and get the same pressure or actually get to the QB....sounds likea drop off to me.

Plus even though he is back i doubt he will be at full speed he hasnt been practicing and hasnt played a game....i know NFL guys are freaks but not even they can step in after 5 weeks off and do much.
