I dont know if any of you have heard, but JT missed practice today and was missing. He might not play Saturday. This is what Carlos Frias of the PBP has reported.

Dolphins clarify that Jason Taylor is out of town because of an illness in his family. Still not definitive, tho, that he'll play Saturday.2 minutes ago from web

J. Taylor's publicist says his situation is not serious, "nothing you have to concern yourself with." But if he misses the game?

No word still on why Jason Taylor has been excused from the #Dolphins, maybe missing the game. His agent says, "I can't get involved."about 1 hour ago from TwitterFon

LB Jason Taylor is out of town for a personal matter and Sparano doesn't know if he'll be back for Sunday's game. Stat tuned...about 2 hours ago from TwitterFon

Which his family member gets well soon and cannot wait to see him back

so what if he misses this game its a glorified practice. He wont loose his starting job..

I hope that his family gets well soon, i know if that was my family that got sick i would hope that the coach would give me a break and let me skip the preseason game, its for good reason.
He probably would only play a few possesions anyway and he coming or not wont make that much of a difference.

Cameron wake might get to start then and that'll be good for wake to see how good he is against starting linemen, and carolina does have a very good o-line.

JT missing the game may be a blessing in disguise. We will be able to see how Wake, Anderson, and Moses can perform against another teams #1 o-line. This will only help our coaching staff evaluate our LB's. Sparano himself was saying how they are running out of time to evaluate players, well this may give them a little more info.

Good.

If I had it my way future hall of famers would do the bare minimum- and I mean absolute bare minimum in order to get ready for a season- as far as physical contact and practice goes. The emphasis would be put on massages, stretching, diet, stamina, endurance, X's & O's, etc. Then maybe pre-Madonnas like Favre wont put us through these exasperating three tent Circuses each and every offseason. Just come out and say it dude, you didn't wana practice. Ain't nothing wrong with it. Ask Michael Strahan.
