Being that it is rumored that JT is not only wanting to leave, but on bad terms with BP why not get true value for him that can make an immediate impact on this team. Being that we didn't draft a cornerback and Scorpio barber is not the next cromartie. Why not propose JT straight up for Lito. Lito is a beyond solid corner who will make an immediate impact and improvement to our secondary and he is being shopped. What do you guys think?

you're preaching to the choir... I say they should pull the trigger!

Please stop posting JT trade rumors or dream scenarios. Until something is confirmed just let it die because odds are nothing is going to happen. And these threads are getting really annoying.

At this point they might as well ...

and will everyone drop the Merling at OLB talk, its not going to happen!!!

hey trowa, first off if they are annoying dont read or let alone comment on them. Second, why would you shut down a topic that has been discussed very heavily over the past few weeks. I know you maylove jt but we all need to realize he won't be a fin next year. All signals point towards him out the door before tuna is. Plus the trade makes the utmost sense in that the eagles are looking to get over the hump and especially need a dominant pass rusher for the strength of their division and because of the loss of kearse. So please do me a favor and analyze something before you rake on it.

Lito has some real health issues. Otherwise he would not be on the block. He has missed to many games over that last 2 seasons. That scares me...he will want a big new contract with his new team.

Miami cannot fix this team with one draft. I think Miami will have a Top 15 pick next season. They should trade JT for picks. Then use those picks to MOVE up in the draft. Then they can draft a CB maybe even #1 or #2 CB option coming out that year.

Miami has rebuilt their DL & OL...some will be good or better starters...some will be bust. But for the most part, the team has no major need for drafting 2+ OL/DL packages next season. I think they will focus on WR, CB, CB, WR, SS & LB next draft. If most of the players drafted this year work out well for us...

Lito's good, but not worthy of a Jason Taylor. Additionally, I think a good corner will be cut in 6 weeks for salary cap reasons. Maybe one of the chiefs corners.

Vonnie Holliday for Lito Shepherd is an interesting trade.

First, it's kind of hard to ignore when they crop up every 15 minutes. Second, I'm trying to shut it down because all the rumors and trade scenarios have proven to be false. It was CONFIRMED that JT was a Jag. Then it was CONFIRMED that JT was a Buc. If we were going to trade him to the Eagles I'm sure it would have been done in the draft day trade that sent Lo Booker to them for a 4th. Parcells has said that JT will not be traded. Why can't people just accept that he was telling the truth. And even still posting a bunch of conjecture and dream scenarios with no proof has just gotten old. Jason Taylor is a Fin. And I'm not saying he will be a Fin come the start of the season but that is what we've been told and draft day has shown us that we really have no interest in moving him without getting real value, so please just let the topic die.

its pretty obvious that "PHILLY doesn't feel that JT is worth it". Not saying that he isn't....just that it is pretty obvious that the rest of the league feels he isn't.

don't u listen to the reports? The best offer that has been brought to BPs table is a "4th" round pick, for crying out loud.

its no wonder why BP has emphatically stated that JT isn't going anywhere...

because at 34 years old, no one feels he is worth any more than a 4th rounder.

so to answer everyone's question...PHILLY has most likely balked at the offer.

they probably feel that Lito is young and still somewhat of a stud, so he is worth "more" than JT is at 34 years old.

im sure that maybe JT "plus" a 2009 pick can maybe get the deal done...but does BP feel that they "need" a Lito Sheppard "that" much? dont think so. why? because he didnt even bother using a pick on a CB. rather he drafted "two" DEs and "two" RBs. that should let u know, right there.
