Here is how it looks: Sacks Tackles INT TD FF Team

Shawne Merriman 16 54 1 0 1 Chargers
Aaron Kampman 15.5 83 0 0 3 Packers
Aaron Schobel 14 52 0 0 3 Bills
Jason Taylor 13.5 56 2 2 9 Dolphins
least most

it seems to me
:allhail:
all bow to your defensive MVP Jason Taylor

Champ Bailey 0 81 9 0 0 Broncos

Still looks like JT is the winner to me, just mentioning another candidate people have talked about.

if this is defensive mvp its either gotta go to champ or JT. merriman, in my opinion shouldnt be considered, even though hes having an amazing year.

He's having an amzing year becuase his performance was enhanced, hence he should not be considered. Not being a homer at all, but I think JT deserves this one.

I agree about JT. They had a discussion about it yesterday on ESPN and the analysts thought the fair thing for Merriman to do would be to remove himself from consideration. I'm sure he won't do that but I want JT to get this award.

If Jason taylor doesn't win the award, something is wrong.

I agree completely - EVERYONE is mentioning his name in connection with this award. IMO it's a given, but stranger things have happened.

Yep, and last I checked, Jason Taylor hasn't been suspended for steroids.

Gives a fan of the Miami Dolphins some sense of pride, doesn't it?

Cris Carter named Champ Bailey as his MVP in his Yahoo sports article today. Does he get a vote now that he's a "journalist"?

When will we know for sure?

:shakeno: Cris Carter would say that.

:confused2

JT could solidify his pick with a huge game against Peyton. Peyton seems hard to sack because of his quick release. Maybe Peyton could do what Favre did with Strahan a couple of times and let JT "Sack" him.

JT should win it. However, whats interesting about Bailey's stats is that 7 of his 9 INT have come with the opponent throwing in the endzone or the 10 yard line saving a whole bunch of TD's. Also, if you watch his games, no1 throws his way, and most of his INT are him playing off the WR and making the INT of the 2nd WR he's covering.
