Active Roster
There has never been any doubt that Jason can get to the QB, but his run defense has always been the Achilles heel in his game. I am not saying he sux, but when he was asked to play the Sam before he would have trouble keeping the wide bodies off of him. Good to hear, at least in practice, he is adjusting. But is that not what great players do.
http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport.../fresh-fish-dolphins-training-camp-day-3.htmlThe one pass rusher I have been feeling (for three straight practices) has been Jason Taylor, who is filling in for Matt Roth as the team's strong side linebacker. JT is probably the most dominant player on the field right now. Last year Vernon Carey really wasn't challenged, but this season he's not winning all of his battles with Taylor, a six-time Pro Bowler. I haven't seen Taylor get to the quarterback consistently yet, but he's killing the run, which was my biggest concern for him. I'll go out on a limb and say he's the opening day starter right now. Bold talk, but he is the NFL's active sacks leader so how much of a risk can I really be taking.
